I have thought of them too and the impression that I got, but at this time of year you don"t know the truth and the difference between fiction and truth is what we get paid to do but I got the sense that the Rangers were not going to be a player at this point."
TSN put the odds on Stamkos signing with Tampa or Detroit at 3-1, Buffalo 4-1, Toronto 9-2, MTL 13-2, Vancouver 9-1, Boston 10-1.

6/25/16 | 11:16AM: On the NHL Network, John Shannon listed the Rangers as a team to watch in the Steven Stamkos derby.
Shannon said that he doesn"t think the Rangers are a team that has been looked at a lot because of their cap situation but "that could change."
He said that there was a belief on the draft floor that a big offer could be coming from the Rangers.
