Rapper Lil Wayne in stable condition after 2 seizures on plane

Lil Wayne Drinking Massive Amounts of Lean Hours Before Seizures

OMAHA, Neb. --

Lil Wayne is in stable condition in Omaha after suffering what his publicist described Tuesday as two minor seizures.

TMZ has reported that the Grammy-winning rapper"s private jet was forced to make two emergency landings at an Omaha airport Monday afternoon and that he was taken to a hospital.

Dennis Messina, an operations supervisor at Omaha"s Eppley Airfield, told The Associated Press that a plane landed around 2:40 p.m. due to a medical emergency, but that treatment was refused. The plane refueled and was just taking off when the pilot declared another medical emergency and returned to the airport.

Messina couldn"t confirm that Lil Wayne, whose real name is Wayne Carter, was on the plane.

Derek Sherron, publicity director of The Chamber Group, said Lil Wayne was under the care of his own doctors and was in good spirits.

"He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes," Sherron said.

Several reports said the 33-year-old New Orleans native was taken to Creighton University Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman declined to comment Tuesday.

In March 2013, Lil Wayne was hospitalized in Los Angeles for seizures. He told a Los Angeles radio station that he"s an epileptic. In October 2012, he was hospitalized in New York for what was described as a severe migraine and dehydration.

Lil Wayne Compares Cash Money Records To Prison

Rapper Lil Wayne says he wants off Cash Money Records and likens his record contract to a prison sentence.

Assuming youve been following hip-hop music since the late 1990s, youll remember a scrawny, nasally rapper based out of New Orleans who couldnt help but scream Cash Money every time he saw a television camera.

Much hasnt changed over the past decade plus as Lil Wayne is still scrawny and nasally, though the pockets of the Fireman rapper are much heavier and his influence in the rap game can not be denied. Hes also apparently no longer feeling the love towards Cash Money Records either as the only musical home to Lil Wayne has apparently frustrated the hip hop icon enough to liken his record contract to a prison sentence.

I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it aint that easy, Wayne stated. I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I dont blame ya if ya fed up with waiting for me and this album. But thank you.

Its bit of an odd situation considering as a teenager, Lil Wayne was essentially raised by Cash Money Records co-owner Brian Baby Williams and has routinely suggested Williams to be a father figure. Now all of a sudden, Wayne, who owns a parent company on the label, Young Money, wants to rid himself of those who made him who he is today.

Many have wondered if its nothing more than a publicity stunt in effort to drive up sales for Waynes potential album.

Despite his popularity, Waynes recent releases havent exactly been impressive in terms of sales relative to his popularity. Perhaps that could also be behind Waynes frustration as hes looking for more promotion and financial backing from a larger record company.

Either way, its certainly an odd situation and one to keep an eye closely on if youre fan of Weezy or Cash Money Records.
