Following in the footsteps of their Cinderella remake, Disney are working on a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, featuring Emma Watson in the lead role of Belle. It looks to draw heavily on the celebrated 1991 animated version, with Ewan McGregor as the talking candelabra Lumiere and Ian McKellen as Cogsworth the clock. Directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1and 2), Beauty and the Beast is due for release in the US on 17 March 2017

Plenty of young stars rocked the stage at the billboard music awards this weekend, but the biggest moments belonged to veteran performers.
Celine Dion"s emotional performance of Queen"s "The Show Must Go On" -- four months after losing her husband, -- had fans in tears at the billboard music awards.
It was Celine who got choked up when her son, came out to present her with the billboard icon award. fittingly, she ended her acceptance speech with family.
Separately, Disney released a short preview for Beauty And The Beast.The brief minute and a half long teaser showed off the new look of the film"s Gothic castle as well the first glimpse of Emma Watson as Disney princess, Belle. Tale as old as time! Belle heads into unknown territory in the first trailer for Disney"s upcoming live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast, which debuted on Monday, May 23.

Emma Watson, who portrays the book-loving character, appears just briefly in the sneak peek, but it"s enough to pique our interest. In the clip, she arrives at the Beast"s decaying mansion before marveling over the enchanted rose.
"Look, a girl," Lumiere (Ewan McGregor), the candelabra, says.

Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), the clock, replies: "Yes, I can see it"s a girl, you fool."

Ignoring the attitude, Lumiere adds: "What if she is the one?"
The trailer ends with the caption "Be our guest," a reference to the famous song from Disney"s 1991 animated version of Beauty and the Beast.

The live-action version is set to hit theaters in March 2017. The movie also features Luke Evans (Gaston), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Josh Gad (Le Fou) and Stanley Tucci (Cadenza).
