Pure Barre Charleston and Charleston Revolution Cycling Studio have partnered for the Ride and Burn for a Green Heart charity fitness event benefiting the Green Heart Project, a Charleston-based farm-to-school program.
The event on Saturday, Jan. 10, will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Charleston Revolution Cycling Studio where participants will take a 30-minute indoor cycling class.
Participants will then take a complimentary Grey Line bus to the Pure Barre Charleston studio where they will participate in a 30-minute Pure Barre class.
Immediately following the class at noon, Pure Barre will host an after-party, open to the public, with food provided by Verde Charleston and cold-pressed juice samples by Revive Juices, among other local vendors. The event will also include a raffle with items from a variety of local business such as Open Door Shop, Stella and Dot, Juice Plus, Rerun Restaurants and more. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Green Heart Project, supporting their programs in the Greater Charleston area.
Participants can register for the event online with Pure Barre Charleston. Tickets are $35 and include the REV Ride and Pure Barre classes, transportation and complimentary food and beverages after the event. A $50 VIP ticket includes all of the above, plus a Green Heart T-shirt and a complimentary raffle ticket.
Founded in 2009, the Green Heart Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds urban gardens and farm-to-school programs in the Charleston area. With a high value placed on health, education and community, the Green Heart Project pairs local volunteers with students to maintain school gardens while reinforcing academic standards and personal responsibility.
