MARTINICAN AMONG PARIS VICTIMS

While the world mourns victims of last weeks terror attacks at France, residents of Martinique are grieving for Clarissa Jean-Philippe, the unarmed Martinique-born French policewoman who was believed to be killed by terrorists.

Clarissa Jean-Philippe who was new to the police force was shot and killed Jan. 8 in a Paris suburb. Authorities believe Amedy Coulibaly and Hayat Boumeddiene suspects in the hostage-seize in a Jewish grocery in France were connected to the killing of Jean-Philippe, who was attacked while responding to a traffic accident.

Coulibaly was killed at grocery and Boumeddiene is being sought.

The municipal policewoman cut down this morning was a credit to the nation, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said last week of Jean-Philippe.

The Jewish grocery attack took place after two terrorists killed staffers at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris and fatally shot two police officers. The two Charlie Hebdo shooting suspects Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi were later killed in a battle with law enforcement authorities.
