Hail, Caesar! Featurette - The Cowboy (2016) - Alden Ehrenreich Movie HD
The young Han Solo will be played by Alden Ehrenreich.
While it was reported back in May, Disney and Lucasfilm had not officially announced that the Hail, Caesar! and Blue Jasmine star had taken the role.
Ehrenreich onstage at Star Wars Celebration.During the Future Filmmaker panel at Star Wars Celebration, it was revealed that the audition process for the iconic role took 6 months, with every finalist screentested in the Millennium Falcon, while Ehrenreich also tested with his soon-to-be smuggler other half, Chewbacca.

The as-yet-untitled Han Solo movie is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2018, and is directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan. It will commence shooting in January or February of next year.
