Chris Picco has suffered twoimmeasurable losses at once. Just days after his wife, Ashley Picco, died during premature childbirth, their son, Lennon, born at just 24 weeks, died in his arms at3 days old. In this heartbreaking video, Chris sings a lullaby to Lennon in the days before his death in hopes of encouraging his brain activity. So sad.

On Nov. 8, a devastating health eventleft doctors forced to deliver Ashleys child at just 26 weeks along in her pregnancy. Unfortunately, she died during the C-section at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California, reports Spectrum Magazine.
Ashleys husband, Chris, spent three days in the NICU with their premature son, Lennon James. Unfortunately, his lack of movement and brain activity gave doctors little hope for his future.
Chris recalled that during Ashleys pregnancy, she often found that the baby was responsive to music inside the womb. Hoping that music would inspire his little fighter to show signs of life, Chrisreceived approval from the hospital to bring in his guitar.
On Nov. 10, the hopeful father spent an entire day playing music for his son, including the above lullaby Blackbird by his sons namesake, John Lennon, and The Beatles.
Sadly, the following day, Nov. 11, little Lennon passed away in Chris arms.

Dear friends, family, and supporters; it is with an unbelievably heavy heart that I write this. My little fighter, Lennon James Picco went to sleep in his daddys arms late last night, Chris bravely wrote.
I have been so blessed and honored to love him before he was formed, to cherish him while mommy carried him, meet him face to precious face, and hold his perfect little body while we said goodbye for now.
Chris has received an outpouring of support beyond anything he expected. Not only has his lullaby gone viral receiving over 320k views in less than 24 hours but the Ashley Picco Memorial Fund set up on YouCaring.com has already exceeded its $50,000 goal. As of the date and time this article was published, donations were up to over $73,000.
