Over the weekend, the Internet was outraged that Malia Obama decided to go to the annual music festival Lollapalooza instead of the Democratic Nation Convention. Let"s be honest here, Malia is an 18-year-old teenager. As a teenager myself, I would have preferred a music festival over the DNC. The problem is people hold Malia to such high standards, because of course she is the daughter of the president of the United States and also because she is black. Mainly the people outraged about her having fun are Republicans. Many conservatives find any reason to criticize the Obama family -- whether it"s Obama"s failure to fulfill many of the promises he made, Michelle Obama"s appearance and now the behavior of their children.
Black people have to work 10 times harder to get the same things white people have -- one of them being respect.
These complaints are always unwarranted and laced with racist undertones. Never before have they put so much pressure on such a president over things so unrelated to what"s important... like politics. She has lived up to the standard of a good presidential daughter. She decides to have fun one time, and people are up in arms about it. She has always worked hard to have an admirable reputation. It shouldn"t be overshadowed by her enjoying herself at a music festival.
This isn"t the first time people have been outraged by the Obama daughters. In November 2014, GOP staffer Elizabeth Lauten wrote on her Facebook,
Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you"re both in those awful teen years, but you"re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar.
This statement was met with criticism, and she resigned. People hold Obama"s daughters to a standards that not even the past children of the prior presidents could achieve.

During George Bush"s presidency, his daughters Jenna and Barbara Bush had a reputation for being unruly party animals. Photos of Jenna drunk and on the floor would circulate on the internet. In 2001, Jenna Bush was charged with an underage drinking charge at 19 years old. Many regarded them as Secret Service nightmares. Yet the Republicans weren"t outraged about this. The media now is too busy trying to vilify Malia Obama, who has always been a classy young lady. Malia is at the same age as the Bush girls were, and she has not done any of the things that they have done.
Malia never asked to be in the spotlight. At a young age she was thrusted into the spotlight when her father announced his presidency. Since then she hasn"t been able to get much privacy. During her college visits last year, a photo circulated of her playing beer pong. As a teenager that"s a time-honored tradition. The outrage was unwarranted. It seems that anytime Malia is actually enjoying herself, people are outraged. There"s no reason why Malia should be viewed as a puppet. She is her own person; she isn"t Barack and she isn"t the White House. She shouldn"t be viewed in such a way. She is on her way to Harvard next fall -- an accomplishment many wish they could achieve. She has a good head on her shoulders and parents who have taught her so much class.
Malia is at the same age as the Bush girls were, and she has not done any of the things that they have done.
Yes, Malia is the daughter of the president of the United States, but before that she is a teenager. She shouldn"t be hindered from enjoying herself because of who her father is. She shouldn"t be confined to a cage just to appease others. Malia is an adult now, at 18 years old, she is able to make her own decisions and we should respect that. d**n, can we let Malia Obama live?

Pokemon Sun and Moon is officially available for pre-order and UK fans seem to be getting a special treat. The Nintendo UK store has confirmed that players who pre-order the Nintendo 3DS XL Solgaleo and Lunala Limited Edition will also be getting a free limited edition pouch.
The free Nintendo 3DS XL pouch will be Pokemon themed; the small bag will have a dual design where one side features the legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Moon, Lunala, and the other side features the legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Sun, Solgaleo.
In addition to this, the new limited edition handheld console will be released with a copy of the new Pokemon game.
The new Nintendo 3DS XL Solgaleo and Lunala Limited Edition has not yet been confirmed for a release in North America however it is possible to order the special console online and have it imported into the country.
A second studio album from two-time Grammy winner Frank Ocean, "Boys Don"t Cry," is now expected to arrive on Friday, August 5, 2016.

Latest Update: Yet more details of Pokmon Sun and Moon have been announced ahead of its November release date. Amid the chaotic popularity of Pokmon Go, we now know that some of the pocket monsters in Sun and Moon will have "Aloha forms" which are specific to the game some appear different while others are actually a completely different type of Pokmon. For example, Vulpix and Sandshrew are Ice in Aloha form.
The new video also shows off some new Pokmon such as Oricorio, Minior and Fomantis. Learn about The Island Challenge, Trial Captains and Totem Pokmon. Plus all-new Z-moves which are like ultimate abilities which you can use once per battle. For example, Pikachu can perform "Gigavolt Havoc". There are Z-moves for every type of Pokmon.

You heard that right, the latest rumour (and remember it"s only a rumour) is that Pokmon GO on your phone might be able to link up with Sun and Moon on your 3DS. According to a report iniDigitalTimes, the producers of the upcoming 3DS Sun and Moon are "considering linkage with the smartphone app Pokemon GOwhich came out earlier this month." It rightfully points out that "they have to do it in a way that doesnt break the balance of either game and even end up making both games boring. They still need to find an interesting idea that could make both games more interesting."
So watch this space - it could be another Nintendo moment of genius.

This game will follow the popular Pokmon X and Y which launched on the 3DS back in 2013 so its about time we got a new title which would be the seventh generation.
When Pokmon Sun and Moon launches, it will be available globally and in nine languages with Nintendo adding traditional and simplified Chinese alongside other options such as English, Spanish and Italian.
Nintendo hopes that Pokmon trainers will be able to overcome language barriers and be able to communicate with each other better over the internet.
When first announced the Japanese gaming outfit didnt mention anything in the way of new Pokmon for Sun and Moon although thats inevitable and there was little in the way of other announcements. Are Pokmon going to act differently or be able to use different moves during the day or at night? We dont know but the name suggests something along those lines.
A feature called Pokmon Bank will mean that players can transfer any of their Pokmon from the original trio to Sun and Moon which is pretty cool.
At E3 2016 a new battle format called Battle Royal was announced forPokmon Sun andPokmon, wherebyfour Trainersbattle at once. Each chooses three Pokmon, with one entering the field at a time, and it"s all over when all three Pokmon of any one Trainer have fainted. The remaining Trainers are then ranked.
Pokmon Sun and Moon: Starter Pokmon
Following on in the tradition of previous Pokmon games, players will have to choose one of three special Pokmon to be their first partner in Sun and Moon. In this version ofPokmon you"ll pick between newly discovered Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.
As usual, they follow the format of grass, fire and water and you can see details of each below.
The first of the potential partners is the highly adaptable Grass Quill Pokmon, Rowlet. This Pokmon can fly silently through the skies, sneaking up on its opponent without being noticed. It can attack its opponents using powerful kicks, and it can also attack from a distance using the razor-sharp leaves that form part of its feathers. Rowlet can survey its environment and turn its neck nearly 180 degrees from front to back, so it can see directly behind itself. When in battle, Rowlet turns its head to face its Trainer when waiting for instructions.

The cool-headed Fire Cat Pokmon, Litten, is the next choice for a first-partner Pokmon. Littens fur is rich in oils and is immensely flammable. It constantly grooms itself by licking its coat, collecting loose fur into b***s. It then ignites these hairballs to create fireball attacks. When the time comes for Litten to molt, it burns off all of its fur in one glorious blaze.
The third possibility is the acrobatic Sea Lion Pokmon, Popplio. Popplio can create balloons made of water from its nose and utilize them to create a variety of different strategies and attacks in battle. This Pokmon is better at moving in the water than on land, and can swim at speeds over 25 mph. On land, it uses the elasticity of the balloons it creates to perform jumps and acrobatic stunts.

At E3 2016 Nintendo announced a further three Pokmon:Pikipek, Yungoos and Grubbin.
Pikipek, whichlikes to collect glittery objects and hide them in their food stores, can strike trees up to 16 times per second to bore holes - this powerful action can even shatter stone. Pikipek can also fire seeds at opponents with enough power to embed them into tree trunks.
Yungoos is an extremely hungry Pokmon, and when its stomach rumbles it gets pretty grumpy. It"s pretty much all about its stomach, but some Yungoos also possess the Stakeout ability, with their moves dealing twice the normal damage to any Pokmon that enters the field mid-battle.
Grubbin is a bug-type Pokmon with a strong jaw, munching away in battle and using its nashers to burrow into the ground. Sticky threads can be spat from its mouth and wrapped around trees, enabling Grubbin to swing between them a bit like Tarzan.

EXCLUSIVE: Shannen Doherty on the Emotional Moment She Chopped Off Her Hair After Cancer Treatment
Shannen Doherty"s cancer has spread.
The former "Beverly HIlls, 90210" actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in February last year and she has revealed it has now been detected in her lymph nodes.
She said: "I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes.
"So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I"ll do radiation."
The 45-year-old actress - who had a single mastectomy in May - admitted she is worried about the future because so much is "unknown".
She said: "The unknown is always the scariest part. Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer?
"Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, it"s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love."
Shannen recently shaved off her long dark hair as her chemotherapy treatment was causing it to fall out, which was "driving her crazy".
She told "Entertainment Tonight": "After my second treatment, my hair was really matted, like in dreadlocks. And I went to try and brush it out, and it just fell out.
"I just remember holding onto huge clumps of my hair in my hands, and just running to my mom crying, like, "My hair, my hair, my hair, my hair."
"It was just shedding and it was driving me crazy. It was just clumps, and I was like, "Just grab the kitchen scissors." And my mom"s like, "Wait, wait, wait." I"m just, like, "Grab it." She went and grabbed the kitchen scissors, and put it in a ponytail and she just chopped it off. And it was this cute little bob, but it wasn"t enough, you know, it was falling out.
"We did stages. We did a pixie. And then we did a mohawk, which was my favourite look. And then finally, we had to get the shaver thing and just buzz it off."
Shannen"s husband, Kurt Iswarienko, wasn"t able to be with her while she had her head shaved, but his response made her "feel better" about losing her hair.
She recalled: "He was in Mexico working and he was texting nonstop in the middle of his photoshoot like, "Give me pictures, and are you ok? I wish I could be there."
"He was so stricken that he wasn"t there with me but I sent him pictures and videos and he was like, "Oh my G*d. You"re hot with no hair." So you know, everybody kind of made me feel better about it."
The actress admitted her treatment has affected her appearance so she wants to be open about her battle with the disease in the hope it helps others.
She said: "People don"t realise that cancer -- yes, it ages you -- but also, you can balloon up from the various meds.
"There are so many different reactions you have and so I just -- I didn"t want someone to take a picture of me coming out of the grocery store and be like, "Oh G*d, look at her."
"I wanted to put it out there the way it felt the best for me to put it out there. And also, if I could help one person then it makes me go, "Oh OK." It"s easier to live with having cancer if I know I"m helping at least one person."

NEW YORK Actress Shannen Doherty revealed that herbattle with breast cancer has taken a heartbreaking turn.
In a sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 45-year-old said she learned her cancer spread after a recent surgery.
I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes, Dohertysaid.
The Charmed actress is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The unknown is always the scariest part, Doherty told ET. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, its the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love.
Doherty began posted a series of photos to Instagram in July showing her shaving her head.
