Ronda Rousey"s longtime rival Cris "Cyborg" Justino calls for fight at UFC 205

UFC 193 Rewind: Holly Holm"s Shocking Win Against Ronda Rousey

Yeahfile this under things that have about as much a chance of happening as a cat learning calculus.

Cris Cyborg Justino has challenged Ronda Rousey to meet her in the Octagon at UFC 205 on Nov. 12.

Im not trying to inspire you to suddenly become a better person, or become anything youre not. But there was a time in your life when you told people you wanted to fight me. Maybe you didnt quite understand the way the wold [sic] worked then, but you also didnt care what anyone thought, Justino penned in a lengthy essay on Facebook on Friday. I guess what Im trying to tell you is that you dont need to be the champ to fight me.

The Brazilian fighter took verbal shots at Rousey, calling her a bully and a diva, and hinted that Rousey may be afraid to fight her because another loss would further sully what she sees as a carefully crafted media image.

The curated lives we see celebrities show everyday are fake. The perfect entourage, the new movie premiers [sic], the unbeatable record. Thats not reality, Justino wrote. Why didnt you give the Olympic Gold another attempt? How come you havent asked to rematch that girl [Holly Holm] who KOd you? Are you dieting right? Do you really think you deserve a title shot coming off a loss and year layoff?

Justino continued: These little inconsistencies in your quest for perfection start pecking away at the image youve been able to create through the media. Your flaws your unsuccessful attempts at greatness or even mediocrity are real. The media made you out to be the greatest female fighter of all time, and that is beautiful, because now everyone knows the real reason why you avoided a fight against Cris Cyborg.

Fight fans have been clamoring for a Rousey-Cyborg bout for years. The fighters themselves, though, never seem to be on the same page. Rousey has said shed fight Cyborg if she dropped to 135 pounds, but Rousey wont consider going up to 145.

When rumors of a catchweight fight at 140 pounds emerged, both fighters tentatively agreed, but UFC President Dana White disapproved.

All [Justino] has to do is make 135 pounds and weve got a fight, White said (via MMAFighting.com) last year. UFC does not have a womens featherweight division. I want that fight. Ronda wants that fight, and I think everybody else wants to see that fight.

"Dora the Explorer" Under Fire After Trump Surrogate Rips Tim Kaine for Speaking Spanish

Sen. Tim Kaine checks a lot of boxes for Hillary Clinton

Scottie Nell Hughes, a CNN conservative commentator, did not appreciate Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine speaking Spanish during a rallywith Hillary Clinton after becoming her running mate on the Democratic ticket.

While Hughes said she appreciated the multicultural aspect of the vice presidential candidates fluent Spanish speech, she believed that is the very thing that continues to divide America. We can all bring out our language, Hughes told her CNN colleague Wolf Blitzer. Melania [Trump] could come out and speak her five different languages, as well.

Hughes continued, But what Mr. Trump did, he spoke in a language that all Americans can understand. That is English.

Hughes appreciated the fact that she could understand everything that was going on at the Republican National Convention, but was worried she might have a different experience at theDemocratic National Convention.

Im hoping Im not going to have to kinda start brushing up on my Dora the Explorer to understand some of the speeches given this week, said Hughes of the DNC. Several commentators noted that several RNC speakers spoke Spanish at the podium in Cleveland this week.

Shortly after her controversial comments, Dora the Explorer began trending on social media and Hughes was under fire for bringing the beloved cartoon character into her analysis of Kaine.

First they came for Big Bird, then My Little Pony, and now Dora the Explorer, Janet Morris tweeted. Why do Republicans fixate on childrens programming?

However, some came to the commentators defense.

One Twitter user said: In other countries ppl cant enter if they dont speak the tongue, why do we have to take care of everybodyyy.

Robin Ventura mum on when Chris Sale will start for White Sox again

Torii amazed by Sale"s pitch

Chris Sale didn"t start Saturday for the White Sox, and manager Robin Ventura wouldn"t say after that night"s 3-3 suspended game when the five-time All-Star might again.

Sale was sent home before his scheduled outing against the Tigers for what general manager Rick Hahn called a "non-physical" clubhouse incident that reportedly involved Sale cutting up some of the 1976 throwback uniforms the team was supposed to wear.

Sale reportedly wasn"t comfortable in the uniform and became upset when the team refused to change its plans to use them. The Sox instead played in 1983 throwbacks, which they usually wear during Sunday home games.

Ventura said Jose Quintana would start as planned Sunday and he wouldn"t divulge when Sale would again. Ventura also passed on talking about whether Sale would face further punishment for Saturday"s situation.

"I"ll talk about the game, but any of that stuff, we"ll wait on that," Ventura said after his team and the Tigers game was suspended before the start of the ninth inning after a third rain delay. "I"m not going to discuss what went on in there. But (it"s) unfortunate he didn"t start tonight. Proud of the guys who filled in."

One of those guys was Matt Albers, whom Ventura called on to start in Sale"s place. He was one of six Sox pitchers to take the mound. He allowed one run on one hit with a strikeout in two innings.

Albers said he found out from pitching coach Don Cooper at around 4:30 p.m. that he would be starting for the first time since he did so eight years ago at Wrigley Field when he was with the Orioles.

Albers, like Ventura, was mum on Sale, who is 14-3 with a 3.13 ERA.

"We"re going to keep that in-house," Albers said. "Obviously you guys probably know what happened, but for me as a player, and in our clubhouse, we"re going to keep in in-house.

"You"re going to have to ask somebody else about that."

Nobody wearing a White Sox uniform was talking about it, either, of course.

Third baseman Todd Frazier called Sale a "bulldog" and "a good pitcher."

Going into Saturday, Sale led the American League in innings pitched (133), was tied for first in WHIP (1.01, tied for third in average against (.216), had the fourth-best strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.45) and was tied for eighth in ERA.

Saturday"s incident wasn"t Sale"s first brush with controversy.

This year"s American League All-Star starter referred to himself as an "idiot" after a May 7 game against the Twins during which he hit himself in the head twice with a baseball after walking in a run and hitting a batter to allow another.

"When I get mad I feel like hurting myself," Sale said that night. "I don"t get it. That"s the immaturity part coming out. I have to get over some things."

Sale also spoke out publicly against executive vice president Ken Williams during spring training after Williams said the club wanted to limit access to the clubhouse for former Sox designated hitter Adam LaRoche"s son, Drake LaRoche.

Last season Sale tried to gain entrance into the Royals clubhouse after he was ejected for his role in a brawl during an April 23 game at U.S. Cellular Field.

Finally, Sale left before a game late in 2014 in wake of a vocal run-in with Ventura.

The Life of Pablo: WikiLeaks makes internet hero out of unruly former DNC employee

WikiLeaks DNC Emails Show Hillary Clinton Stole Democratic Nomination From Bernie Sanders

Every crew needs a wildcard and the DNC got theirs in Pablo Manriquez. The latest WikiLeaks release has revealed the former broadcast media director for the Democratic organization to be disruptive and insubordinate and a whole lot of fun.

A former freelancer at Fox and the Huffington Post, Pablo worked on Obamas 2008 campaign as a Latino outreach specialist. He joined the DNC in 2015 as director of Hispanic Media before becoming broadcast media director for the 2016 season.

We can tell from the leaked emails that all seemed to start well for Pablo, with his colleagues even attempting to get him accessto an MSNBC after-party.

Pablos popularity didnt last for long though and less than a month later tongues were wagging regarding his absence, with talkof HRs involvement.

A few hours later on the same day Pablo is at it again. Hes given a scolding for engaging directly with the office of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz after asking for her landline number for a radio interviewer.

Tell me you didn"t give out her desk number, the email asks.

A week later Pablo caused panic when he became frustrated by the possibility of Debbie Wasserman Schultz cancelling an early-morning CNN appearance. Dear CNN, Pls have Trump call-in and set the news cycle against us instead, per usual, Pablo tells his colleagues, leading to a not-wholly-professional responseof, Pablo f**k off.

The next day he causes further dismay when he praises a CNN interview with Bernie Sanders that criticized the DNC. When a colleague tells him, This was not a good clip for us, he replies, Oh, nevermind. Lame. Classic Pablo.

Pablo doesnt waste time and 24 hours later hes at it again, causing havoc by ignoring protocol, leading to a line he probably hears a lot: Pablo. Stop. The email also hints that Pablo might be leaving with the exchangeTwo weeks and Thank G*d.

The hints prove true as several days later Pablo sends out an email telling his work friends h**l be leaving them for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he will serve as VP of Comms. He reminds them all of his farewell partywhich we hope was well attended.

Thanks for the memories, he tells his friends. No Pablo, thank you.

The first Justice League trailer is here, and it actually looks great

Justice League - Angry Trailer Reaction

Here at Comic-Con, director Zack Snyder debuted the first trailer for his upcoming film Justice League, and here"s the shocker: it actually looks fantastic. The trailer starts with Ben Affleck"s Bruce Wayne, hunting down Aquaman, presumably putting together the team of warriors that Warner Bros. hopes will be its answer to The Avengers. From there, nearly all the big names get a moment to shine, including Cyborg, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. (Superman himself seems to be missing, for reasons as-of-yet unknown.)

While Man of Steel and its sequel have been largely criticized by their dour, dismal feel, Justice League seems to be taking a cue from Suicide Squad. The tone is airy and light, with each moment played more for laughs than a Snyder-ean portent of inevitable doom. In short, it makes it look like the movie could actually be fun, something that Marvel has perfected with its superhero movies, but DC and Warner Bros. have constantly struggled with. Of course, it"s important to remember that Zack Snyder"s films often have great trailers, and no place is better suited to hype a comic book crowd than Hall H at Comic-Con... but for the moment, we"re actually looking forward to 2017.

Charles Manson Follower Refused Parole

Rich Gang ft Charles Manson

Leslie Van Houten, the youngest follower of murderous US cult leader Charles Manson, has been refused parole.

The 66-year-old is serving a life sentence for killing a grocer and his wife more than 40 years ago.

A parole board recommended she should be freed because shewas no longer the violent young woman who committed murder, has completed various college degrees and been a model inmate.

California GovernorJerry Brownacknowledged her success in prison, but he wrote in his decision to overturn the recommendation that she failed to explain how she transformed from an upstanding teenager to a killer.

"Both her role in these extraordinarily brutal crimes and her inability to explain her willing participation in such horrific violence cannot be overlooked and lead me to believe she remains an unacceptable risk to society if released," Mr Brown wrote.

Van Houten participated in the killings of Leno La Bianca and his wife,Rosemary, a day after other so-called "Manson family" members murderedpregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others in 1969.

She was not involved inthe Tate killings.

Family member Bruce Davis, who was not involved in those killings, was alsorecommended for parole, but it was blocked by the governor.

Charles Manson photographed in 1989 as he is led to his cell after an interview with Reuters

At 19, Van Houten was the youngest Manson follower to take part in the killingsafter she joined the cult in the 1960s.

The murders were the start of what Manson believed was a coming race war thathe dubbed "Helter Skelter" after a Beatles song.

During her parole hearing, Van Houten described how she helped secure a pillow overthe head of Rosemary La Bianca with a lamp cord and held her down while anothermember of the Manson family began stabbing the woman in her home.

Van Houten said she had looked away into the distance until another Mansonfollower told her to do something and she joined in the stabbing.

"I don"t let myself off the hook. I don"t find parts in any of this that makesme feel the slightest bit good about myself," she told the panel.

The La Biancas were stabbed numerous times and the word "WAR" was carved onthe stomach of Leno La Bianca.

Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey and relatives of the victims lastmonth handed in signatures of 140,000 people opposing Van Houten"s release.

Manson, 81, and other followers involved in the killings are still in jail.

Patricia Krenwinkel and Charles "Tex" Watson have each been denied parolemultiple times, while fellow defendant Susan Atkins died in prison in 2009.
