Pokemon Go down: OurMine hacking group claims credit for latest attack on game

A group of hackers took down Pokmon Go to try and make the buggy game more stable, they have said.

The attack hit Pokmon Gos login servers, making it all but impossible for players to get online.

Now famous hacking group OurMine said that they launched an attack that made Pokmon Go unavailable for much of the weekend. It came just a day after another hacking group, Poodlecorp, took the app down in a similar attack and was launched in response to it, hackers affiliated to OurMine said.

The hacking group which has become famous for hacking into celebrity Twitter accounts like Jack Dorseys hopes that their attack on the app can help show the developers behind Pokmon Go that the app should be made secure.

The problems over the weekend were just the most extreme version of connectivity issues that have blighted Pokmon Go ever since it was launched. Many users have struggled to get online, and the games international rollout has been staggered to try and allow developers to cope with the huge amount of interest in playing.

The group said that it was carrying out the attack to force developers to get in touch with them.

No one will be able to play this game till Pokemon Go contact us on our website to teach them how to protect it! the group wrote on its website.

Another hacker claiming to be part of the group said that the attack had been launched after the huge outage caused by a group called Poodlecorp, on Saturday. OurMine wanted to help those behind Pokmon Go make the game more stable so that it wouldnt be attacked in the future, the group said.

The group makes money from charging for vulnerability assessment, where hackers attempt to break into corporate networks to check how safe they are.

But a Twitter user claiming to be a representative said over direct message that the group wasnt requesting money from those behind Pokmon Go, and that OurMine just dont want other hackers [to] attack their servers.

Khloe Karadashian doesn"t appear to have any remorse for the NSFW image she shared on Twitter in an attempt to slam Chloe Grace Moretz.

After Kim Kardashian West leaked a recording of Taylor Swift discussing a lyric in Kanye West"s song, "Famous," Moretz attempted to change the conversation. "Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what"s ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world," she tweeted on Sunday night. "Stop wasting your voice on something so petulant and unimportant."

Khloe responded to the 19-year-old actress" message by posting a photo of the backside of a girl in a red bikini alongside an image of Moretz, also in a red bikini from Neighbors 2. "Is this the a hole you"re referring to @ChloeGMoretz???" she captioned the split pic.

Moretz denied that it was her in the NSFW image by sharing other photos of herself on the Neighbors 2 set, wearing a blue, not red, bikini bottom.

Khloe was accused of bullying the star, but insisted on Monday that she was only having her family"s back. "Im the last person to bully but have an animal instinct to protect and defend my family," the 32-year-old reality star wrote. "Refrain from commenting on my family and OUR business (and I will do the same)."

She added, "Now I hope everyone has a magical Monday! May peace be with you all."

Moretz"s Neighbors 2 co-star, Selena Gomez, also shared a similar sentiment on social media following Kim and Swift"s feud. "There are more important things to talk about," Gomez tweeted minutes after the clips were posted and the hashtag #KimExposedTaylorParty began trending on Twitter. "Why can"t people use their voice for something that f**king matters?"

"Truth is, last thing we need right now is hate, in any form," she added. "This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh."

Things got awkward on Jenny McCarthy"s Sirus XM radio show Friday when actress Tara Reid walked out on a live interview.

The tension built when actress-model McCarthy (who lives in St. Charlesand is married to singer Donnie Wahlberg) pressed Reid about her experience filming WE tv"s reality show "Marriage Boot Camp."

I think the whole thing is absolutely stupid and silly. And, like, were not even talking about it because theres confusing things about it," responded Reid, who wanted to discuss her upcoming role in "Shaknado 4."

But McCarthy switched the subject and askedReid about her exercise regime and plastic surgery. That was enough for Reid, who walked out. The radio show"s Twitter account posted, "What do you think about Tara Reid walking out on Jenny McCarthy today on JMShow?" along with the segment from the interview.

Over the weekend at "Star Wars Celebration," Disney introduced fans to 26-year-old Alden Ehrenreich who will play a young Han Solo in a spinoff movie starring the iconic bounty hunter.

Deadline first reported the news back in Maythat the 26-year-old L.A. native Ehrenreich (pronounced eye-ren-rike) beat out thousands for the role in the second"Star Wars" anthology film.

Set for releaseMay 25, 2018, the still untitled Han Solo film is part of five announcedupcoming films set at various points in the"Star Wars" universe. "Star Wars: Rogue One,"coming December 16, is the first anthology filmandthe Han Solo project is the next.

BALTIMORE (AP) The Latest on a barricade situation in Baltimore (all times local):

5 p.m.

Police say they"ve apprehended an armed rape suspect who barricaded himself in a Burger King in Southwest Baltimore and took hostages, including a seven-year-old girl.

Baltimore Police said on Twitter that the suspect is in custody and the hostages are unharmed.

The standoff lasted several hours. Police earlier said the suspect is wanted on a rape charge and fled from police after they tried to stop him at a traffic stop.

4 p.m.

Baltimore police say two people have been released at an ongoing hostage situation at a Burger King restaurant.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith said on Twitter that negotiations are ongoing with an armed suspect who barricaded himself in the restaurant Sunday after fleeing police.

Smith said a 7-year-old girl remains one of the hostages in the Burger King in Southwest Baltimore.

Police earlier said the suspect is wanted on a rape charge and fled from police after they tried to stop him.

Baltimore Police say a 7-year-old is among those being held hostage at a Burger King restaurant.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith said in a news conference Sunday that "about four" people are in the restaurant with an armed suspect who fled from police.

Smith said the suspect is wanted on a rape charge and led police on a vehicle chase earlier Sunday before crashing into another vehicle and then fleeing by foot into the Burger King in Southwest Baltimore. Smith said the driver of the other car is being treated for minor injuries.

SWAT team and negotiators are at the scene and police are asking the public to avoid the area.

Baltimore Police say are they responding to a hostage situation at a Burger King after a suspect wanted on a rape charge fled from police and ran into the restaurant with a gun in hand.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith said on Twitter that the suspect refused to pull over after being spotted by officers. Smith said the suspect"s vehicle collided with another vehicle then fled on foot into the Burger King, which had other people inside when the suspect entered.

Smith said a SWAT team and negotiators are at the scene and police are asking the public to avoid the area in Southwest Baltimore.

Police say they are responding to a barricade situation in Southwest Baltimore.

WJZ-TV reported around noon on Sunday that dozens of police officers have surrounded a Burger King restaurant.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith said the department had no other preliminary information to provide but will furnish updates later.
