Britney Spears: "Make Me (Oooh)" Label Doesn"t Like Her Voice, Are Her Comeback Days Over?

Is Britney Spears getting too old for the music biz? If her record label is to be believed, she very well may be.

Britney Spears has become known as the comeback queen of todays pop culture scene, having repeatedly fallen into obscurity only to take the world by storm and find a place back on top of the industry once again. Britney is now in the midst of yet another attempt, what with her extremely successful (and very racy) performance at the Billboard Music Awards and the upcoming release of her hyped-up single Make Me (Oooh).

Although Spears has been able to make a comeback on multiple occasions in the past, though, is it possible she is getting too old to do it again?

British publication The Sun recently talked to some of Britneys label insiders about Spears recent performance, especially the one involving Make Me (Oooh), and what they had to say did not exactly inspire confidence in the current state of Britney Spears.

The single has been a nightmare for everybody involved, an anonymous source said about Britney Spears Make Me (Oooh).

When it came down to the final version of the track, the label just didnt like her voice and the producers were struggling to make it work with the recordings they had.

Thats definitely not what an ageing pop star (especially one who makes a living from performing live) wants to hear. And no artist of any age wants to hear that her label does not appreciate her voice anymore and has to tamper with existing recordings to come up with a workable product.

Nonetheless, reports pop music source Breathe Heavy, Britneys people are desperate to put out Make Me (Oooh) in time for it to be included on 2016s summer airplay playlists, and they have been working hard in emergency meetings to polish the track up. It does not bode well for Spears herself, though, that the labels primary strategy for making her single more appealing is adding elements that distract from Britneys performance.

Theyve tried to find someone to add some guest vocals to strengthen the track instead of finding time in Britneys schedule to re-record but theyve really struggled. Its been very stressful, the track should have been out a long time ago now.

It is speculated that one of those featured artists may be rapper G-Eazy, as Spears uploaded an Instagram photo with him on June 3.

As cool as a G-Eazy and Britney Spears collab might be, though, the fact that the label feels it is needed is very bad news for Spears and her fans, as it strongly indicates her career may be on the decline.

Britneys voice may be faltering as she gets older, but the s*x appeal and sensual charisma that also played a huge role in making her a world-renowned sensation again and again is still going strong. In fact, as the Inquisitr has noted previously, Britney Spears has, as of late, been attempting to get even racier than ever with her outfits, her performances, and her public image.

The costume designer for Britneys Las Vegas residency show, Piece of Me, elaborates on the increasingly scant getups the singer has been donning to cater to fans.

They are hotter and sexier, showing more leg, more cleavage, and more midriff.

At least Britney still has her physical attributes going for her, but is it enough to pull off another comeback?

Another very real possibility is that Spears is simply experiencing a slump due to lack of inspiration, sickness, or some other issue.

After all, Britneys label has had some very positive things to say about her in addition to the negative.

Shes found a really great groove, and shes working with some new, young producers. We have an A&R person working on the project thats just really been able to thread the needle, and Im really excited about itwere waiting for her to finish the album, said RCA Records rep Joe Riccitelli.

And, Britney also looked great filming the video for Make Me (Oooh) a few weeks ago.

Disney has released a new poster and featurette for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The footage highlights the films return to practical effects with behind the scenes looks at the newest characters populating the Star Wars universe. The clip alternates between finished footage and set videos showing director Gareth Edwards and his cast in action. Felicity Jones stars as Jyn Erso, with Mads Mikklesen as her father, Galen Erso, an Oppenheimer type figure with doomsday knowledge that is sought by the Empire and the Alliance. When Mon Mothma teams Jyn with Diego Lunas reliable Captain Cassian Andor, the two unite a team to help them pull off the ultimate heist. Rogue One also stars Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen along with Forest Whitaker as The Clone Wars character Saw Gerrera, and Ben Mendelsohn as the nefarious Director Orson Krennic. Rogue One hits theatres on December 16th.

Things are looking up for Warner Bros. DC Expanded Universe. Suicide Squad, the follow-up to this years less than stellar Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was a risky prospect for the studio because of its villain-centric premise featuring a bunch of comic-book characters general audiences know nothing about. But if early box office tracking is to be trusted, Suicide Squad will be just fine. Per a report from THR, early numbers on Suicide Squad forecast an opening as high as $125 million with the potential of climbing even higher. For comparison, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, featuring two of the most iconic comic book characters in history, opened to $166 million, so if Suicide Squad comes even close to that it will be a major success for the studio. And with Batman v Superman, the end problem was it had no legs at the box office and quickly slowed down over the ensuing weeks, closing with only $330 million at the domestic box office.

While all the buzz at the moment is about Suicide Squad, the third official film in the DC Extended Universe after Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, next year the interconnected universe will get even bigger with Wonder Woman. And thanks to some exclusive first looks from Entertainment Weekly, we have some new images that have landed online. Monster director Patty Jenkins took the helm of the first female led superhero movie out of the gate, which has been in the works now for years. Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017 and also stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Sad Taghmaoui.

Entertainment Weekly has released new details along with an official first image for the Stephen King adaptation of the popular The Dark Tower series. Idris Elba stars as the Gunslinger Roland Deschain a character described as 200 years old with deep-rooted connections with the supernatural nature of the film.Roland is tracking down Walter played Matthew McConaughey, aka The Man in Black, a powerful warlock whos looking to bring down the films setting, Mid-World. In the EW issue, director Nikolaj Arcel also revealed that the movie is actually a sequel to the book series, sayingthe hardcore fans of The Dark Tower series will know that this is actually a sequel to the books in a way. It has a lot of the same elements, a lot of the same characters, but it is a different journey.The Dark Tower opens February 17, 2017

Lionsgate has unveiled the first character posters from the upcoming Power Rangers movie, giving us a closer look at the new ensemble. Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove and the world is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. The new posters give us the main line-up of Rangers featuring Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger Zack, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger Kimberly, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger Billy, Becky G as the Yellow Ranger Trini and Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason. Along with the new posters, EW also revealed an exclusive image of Elizabeth Banks Rita Repulsa taking on Becky Gs Trini. Power Rangers also features Bryan Cranston as alien recruiter Zordon and will come to theatres on March 24, 2017.

20th Century Fox has released the first Rules Dont Apply trailer for their unconventional love story that takes place in 1958, revolving around the relationship between Lily Collins religiously devout actress and Alden Ehrenreichs equally conservative driver, both of whom are in the employ of eccentric visionary Howard Hughes played by Warren Beatty. The movie marks Beattys return to the directors chair since 1998s Bulworth. The film opens November 23rd and also stars Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Haley Bennett, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, Steve Coogan, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Megan Hilty, Oliver Platt, and Martin Sheen.

Gwen Stefani headed to the Today Show on July 15 and she absolutely slayed her performance of all of her hit songs. As always, Gwen looked so edgy & cool when she rocked a completely sheer black bodysuit, covered in sequins and tucked it into jeans we love this look do you?

It is really hard for us to believe that Gwen is 46 years old and a mother of three. When she performed on the morning show, we were literally in awe because she looked so flawless.

She rocked a short-sleeve, sheer black bodysuit which featured fabulous, studded silver sequins all over the bodice and the sleeves. Underneath her one-piece you could see a little glimpse of Gwens signature look fishnets.

Gwen tucked the see-through black top into a pair of low-rise, cropped jeans, which were completely covered in black zipper accents. Of course, what would her outfit be if she didnt rock a pair of fishnet stockings? This time, she even threw them on underneath her jeans! We wonder if Gwen sleeps in her fishnet tights

She topped her entire look off with a pair of black patent leather Dr. Martens ankle combat boots, finishing off her edgy, punk look.

Aside from her gritty ensemble, we have to talk about her perfect ponytail. She slicked back her gorgeous blonde locks into a sleek, high pony and added a bold pop of color to her outfit with a bright, crimson lip.

We are loving Gwens entire look from head-to-toe, and it is so refreshing the she marches to the beat of her own drum, do you agree?

Cozen O"Connor Founder Says Release of "28 Pages" Boosts 9/11 Suit

Declassified 28 pages of 9/11 report indicate high-ranking Saudis helped hijackers

Cozen OConnor name partner Stephen Cozen called Fridays release of 28 previously classified pages from the 9/11 Commission report an affirmation of what he has been arguing in court for 13 years. And it may have come at just the right time for the firm.

Cozen, along with former Florida Sen. Bob Graham and others, has been pushing for Congress to release the pages in hopes they would shed further light on what they claim is Saudi Arabias role in the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

While the released pages dont counter what the previous report had foundthat there was no existing evidence the Saudi government directly funded the terror attacksit provides details of lower level Saudi government operatives in places such as San Diego having possible ties to the hijackers, according to media reports on the documents.

The credibility of our assertions in this case has been given a huge boost, Cozen said Friday. I am hopeful that, now that weve gotten the 28 pages, we will be able to get [declassified] from the government any of the other documents referred to in the 28 pages that would lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.

Cozen said the information in the 28 pages puts an absolute lie to the notion adopted by the district court judge in In re Terror Attacks of September 11, 2001, that the case had to be dismissed because there was no evidence the Saudi government did anything on U.S. soil to bring it under the confines of the noncommercial tort exception of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.

U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels of the Southern District of New York had dismissed Saudi Arabia from the suit Cozen led on behalf of families of victims and insurance companies, finding the plaintiffs claims that Saudi officials acted on U.S. soil was implausible, Cozen said.

That is the issue that is set to be argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit this fall, Cozen said, adding that these pages may give the court reason to question Daniels findings.

The release of the 28 pages, which we have fought for for years, and the 9/11 families have fought for for years is a tremendous turning point in connection with the 9/11 investigation, which is still ongoing, and our investigation, Cozen said.

The matter might be moot, however, Cozen noted, if Congress passes the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, which would allow for recovery against foreign governments, regardless of where the torts took place.

Cozen has seen a number of highs and lows in the 13 years he has led this case, with Saudi Arabia being dismissed from the suit on two occasions, arguments before the Second Circuit, requests for certiorari from the U.S. Supreme Court and battles outside the courtroom for documents like the ones released Friday.

We say this was an act that was directed by or aided and abetted by the Saudi government, Cozen said. I think the 28 pages gives credence to that.

Acclaimed critic Richard Roeper was absolutely savage in hisGhostbustersreview forChicago Sun-Times. How could so many talented, well-meaning artists, who clearly loved and respected the original, produce such a raggedy-looking, thuddingly unfunny, utterly unnecessary reboot? Roeper said in his review.

But unfortunately with a movie as politicized asGhostbusters,no one is allowed to love or hate the movie in a vacuum. The lovers are paid Sony shills or partisan hacks, whilethe haters are simply misogynists. Roeper with his gleeful evisceration of the film, falls into the latter category.

And unsurprisingly the lady-Ghostbusterscheerleaders of the internet were not happy with Roepers review most of the angry cheerleaders being men.

Roeper even responded to one of the more harping trolls.

At the end of two long days of getting hounded by femidorks, Roeper proved his baseness.

And at least he can see the humor in it all. When asked by a fan what he will do with his recent poker winnings, he responded:

Tara Reid makes rare red carpet appearance as she laments: "Where did my career go?"

The American Pie star (40), who has enjoyed cult movie star status in recent years thanks to her role in the B-movie "franchise" Sharknado. And the actress, who is as famous for her partying as she is her early film roles, made the most of her time in the spotlight with two red carpets this week.

On Wednesday night, she appeared at an ESPYs after-party hosted by Celebrity Sweat, wearing a white shift dress. Earlier in the week, she posed for photographers at the premiere of Undrafted.

Reid recently lamented about her flailing career, saying: "Where did my career go?"

While speaking on Today Extra in Australia, she interrupted herself while describing her latest role - a Bollywood movie - entitled Tie The Knot.

"Its weirder than Sharknado," she said. "I was doing that movie and Sharknado at the same time. Im like, What am I doing anymore? Where did my career go?

Never did I think Sharknado would be a cult film, she said.

Theyre talking about Sharknado 5 already.

Ghostbusters Review: I Ain"t Afraid of No Women Being Excellent

Ghostbusters surpassed my expectations in every way. It was funny throughout, well paced, with no huge downswing. If I have one criticism about the movies structure, its that the ending falls slightly flatter than the rest; but as a huge fan of the 1984 Ghostbusters (it holds special childhood movie status with me), I have to say the 2016 movie is just as good as the 1984 movie. Sony has a hit on its hands.

The movies villain, Rowan (Neil Casey) is a disgruntled asshat who thinks hes had it hard all his life. To get revenge against his bullies, Rowan stirs up trouble in Manhattan. He aims to command a ghost army by placing devices around the city that break ghosts into the human world. Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) are working on ways to defend against and capture ghosts. Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) later joins them, followed by MTA subway worker Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones). Together the Ghostbusters fight back against ever-increasing odds to save the city.

Stand out characters include Chris Hemsworths Kevin, who has awesome comedic timing. Kevin is a brilliantly simple and a fun role, essentially the eye candy/ puppy dog that the women love and look after. I think some of the men in the audience may cringe, but guys women have had this done to us in thousands of movies. This one character doesnt even begin to rebalance those scales.

The movies absolute standout is Kate McKinnons Holtzmann. Shes the inventor of the Ghostbusters gadgets, and shes so delightfully over the top. Shes d**n hot and youre going to see her cosplayed everywhere.

One justified criticism from the first trailer was the portrayal of Leslie Jones character, Patty. The trailer was put together in a way that emphasized that she was the only non-scientist and it made the movie look flat-out racist. Jones took to Twitter to provide some perspective to her character that we couldnt have had before the movie came out. Patty may not be a scientist in Ghostbusters, but shes smart in a number of ways and provides the team direction and information at critical points. In the end she makes the decisive call that leads to the resolution and shes exactly what the team needed. Its a shame shes the only non-scientist but its not as bad as the trailer made out when you have the context of the rest of the movie.

I know Ghostbusters 1984 is problematic but its still something of a fave of mine. As a long time fan, with my own uniform and props, I feel well placed to say that Ghostbusters 2016 is as good as Ghostbusters 1984. The original has an amazing first half but the second half falls away slightly. Ghostbusters 2 is a pretty terrible movie, it hits the odd high note but generally its like watching your dad try to rap; it really isnt how you want to spend your time. Ghostbusters 2016 doesnt quite reach the highs of the first half of the original but it never sinks to the lows of that movie either.

The movie is very safe for kids as young as 8 or so as it does have a couple spooky ghosts and a few jump scares. If those dont bother your kid then its fine for the younger ones, too. Girls are going to love having an action movie where they can see themselves on screen. This really is a first and its worth celebrating. Make sure you stay to the end of the credits as there is an extra scene that hints to where the sequel might go. This is easy to do as the credits themselves are fun with Chris Hemsworth dancing through them.

Paul Feigs Ghostbusters is straight up fun that you cant miss. Go bust some ghosts.
