Amazon treats its annual Prime Day like a religious holiday for shopping and the greatest thing capitalism hath wrought. In fairness, you can find some sweet, sweet deals amongst the pages of dog food and baby monitors, especially if youre patient and enjoy spending your day hiding an Amazon webpage from the prying eyes of your boss.

But what about the rejects? What about the items that would be better relegated to an everything must go sale in a dusty warehouse off of I-95?

Cusumano on Tuesdays Monologue gave his opinion on Top Golf being the greatest invention, Giancarlo Stantons ridiculous power display in the Home Run Derby and the revelations in the recently-released Joe Paterno court documents.

UPS investigating after noose is allegedly found inside workplace

The Truth About Working for UPS EXPOSED!

TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - This picture is circulating on social media. An employee tells 13abc Action News this noose was found Monday hanging inside the UPS distribution center in Maumee.

It"s located on 1550 Holland Road. The employee says he was told to delete the pictures by a supervisor.

Susan Rosenberg is the UPS Public Relations Director. She sent this statement to 13 abc. "UPS will not tolerate this demeaning workplace misconduct. The company is investigating this incident and when those responsible are identified, UPS will take appropriately harsh disciplinary action."

Craig Morgan coming to Concert in the Cornfield

Craig Morgan - I"ll Be Home Soon

South Jacksonville trustees failed to pass a golf cart ordinance at their meeting Thursday, but they did announce who will perform at next months Concert in the Cornfield.

Craig Morgan, who has had seven Top 10 hits on the country music charts, will headline the 2016 Concert in the Cornfield on Aug. 27. Country music newcomer William Michael Morgan will open the show at 7 p.m., followed by Craig Morgan around 8:30 p.m.

Were excited to have an entertainer of Craig Morgans quality coming to our concert and anxious to welcome the newcomer, Concert in the Cornfield co-chair Paula Belobrajdic-Stewart said.

Belobrajdic-Stewart said a new feature this year will be Jacksonville-area bands performing in the beer tent before and after the concert. Exit 52 will play prior to the concert and the Devin Clemons Band will play after the show.

Tickets, which are $25 each, will be available beginning Monday at southjacksonville.org. Tickets also will be available soon at Village Hall at 301 Dewey Drive and at the WJIL-WJVO radio stations at 1251 E. Morton Road. Tickets also will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m. the day of the show.

In board action, trustees were deadlocked 3-3 on the issue of allowing golf carts to operate on village streets.

Public Protection Committee co-chair Stacy Pinkerton said her committee had been studying the golf cart ordinance for several months.

I had several people come to me and ask me to not approve its passage, said Pinkerton, who voted against the ordinance. It made me nervous to approve it. I think its dangerous. One of my biggest concerns is that the police department is very busy making sure our streets are safe and they dont need the added pressure of policing golf carts.

In other business, trustees approved an Illinois Union of Operating Engineers contract for three employees of the villages utilities and maintenance departments. Among the terms of the five-year contract allowed residency within 30 miles.

Also, Trustee Kem Wilson announced that a ground-breaking ceremony will be at 1 p.m. July 25 for Loves Travel Stops on Moeller Road.

Being Tim Duncan

Tim Duncan & Gregg Popovich - Draft Night to Retirement

When I was a kid, my favorite baseball players were Carl Yastrzemski and Jim Rice of the Red Sox, but in the National League, it was Willie Stargell. Great hitters. One team guys.

When we said goodbye to them at the end of their careers, it was goodbye. Not like now, when you have the heartache of getting beat by the guy you rooted for last year. We pretend it doesnt hurt.

It wasnt unusual to stay in one city, and not because you were stuck there. Mike Schmidt was a Phillie, but couldve gone anywhere. Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell were career-long team-mates in Detroit, when it was not easy to be a Tiger. Premier QBs like Staubach and Elway. Tons of NHL players too.

I get why that changed, and Im not kvetching, but it makes Tim Duncans run here in San Antonio special. Guys dont do it that way anymore.

In fact, the more I think about his retirement, the more I think we may not see his kind again. One city. No off-season drama. Zen-like focus and contentment. He was happy here. He wouldve been happy anywhere.

Watching him play basketball reminds you of whoever taught you to play the game. Fundamental. Not selfish. Pass. Help your team mates. Win with everyone, not a solo act. Practice. You make a basket, you get down the other end. Not look around to see if everyone, or anyone, noticed. Your postgame interview was your game. What I did out there, yeah, thats my statement. Genial to fans, but not trying too hard. Generous when no ones looking. Not a clown, but humble and humorous enough to make those ridiculous yet lovable HEB commercials. And look at the camera like, can you believe were doing this?

Come to think of it, maybe we will see his kind again. I thought his kind was gone 20 years ago, but suddenly, there he was. Maybe being Tim Duncan is the dream, to some kid messing around after school, a hoop over the garage door. I specifically wanted to be Yaz.

Probably someone, somewhere, on a playground or driveway, specifically wants to be Tim. Good luck, kid.

Our experts agreed that the actress looked like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn in her black leather skirt, crisp white button-down and tweed jacket.
