That catch! That hit! That comeback! That"s Auburn softball on the brink of a national title

Auburn Softball vs Georgia WCWS Highlights

That SportsCenter Top 10 catch? That leaping, over-the-wall, bring-that-back, season-saving grab by leftfielder Tiffany Howard? That had to be the best Auburn catch since the Prayer in Jordan-Hare.

That clutchest of clutch hits? That first-pitch, last-pitch, game-winning grand slam by Emily Carosone? That had to be the best Auburn hit since Carl Lawson stonewalled Alabama on fourth-and-1 as a prelude to the Kick Six.

That epic comeback? Falling behind by a quick touchdown, bouncing back to tie, then winning 11-7 in eight innings to force a winner-take-all national championship Game 3 against Oklahoma in the Sooners" back yard?

That had to be the best Auburn comeback since the Camback.

You say softball isn"t football? You"re right, it"s not, not in terms of ratings and revenue, but when it comes to drama, heart and big-time players rising to big-time moments by making big-time plays, nothing beats Auburn softball these days.

These Tigers are one win away from a national title, but they"ve already put together a second straight season to remember.

It tells you that coaching matters. The surest way to compete for national championships is to hire a coach who"s won one. At least.

In almost no time at all, Clint Myers has proved to be the best hire in Auburn history. He arrived on the Plains three years ago with two big rings from Arizona State, and he"s led the Tigers to the Women"s College World Series twice.

Last year, the run ended in the semifinals. Now they"re one circus catch, clutch hit and epic comeback away from becoming the first Auburn softball team and just the third SEC team - after Alabama and Florida - to win it all.

You don"t have to fully understand softball to appreciate what this team has accomplished. You can be a football or basketball fan and understand what it means never to yield.

You can even be a football or basketball coach.

Gus Malzahn and Bruce Pearl showed their appreciation Tuesday night. Auburn"s football and basketball coaches were there in the stands in Oklahoma City, standing, cheering and smiling as the Tigers matched the biggest comeback in Women"s College World Series history while snapping Oklahoma"s 31-game win streak.

Malzahn has been in this position himself, twice, helping prepare a team on the day of a national championship game. He"s been a part of two Auburn teams that will go down in history for making indelible memories.

Add this Auburn softball team to that list, no matter the final score tonight.

Richard Simmons wants to assure fans that he is still doing fine.

Amid reports that the fitness guru had been hospitalized for bizarre behavior, Simmons released a statement saying he was just dehydrated.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and concern after hearing I was in the hospital, Simmons said in a statement obtained by People magazine. I was dehydrated and needed some fluids and now I am feeling great! Summer is here drink plenty of liquids. Big hugs and kisses for caring.

In March, Simmons was the focus of concern after speculation that he had been forced into seclusion.

He said at the time he simply had tired of being in the limelight.

No one is holding me in my house as a hostage, Simmons told Todays Savannah Guthrie at the time in a phone interview. You know I do what I want to do as Ive always done, so people should sort of just believe what I have to say because, like, Im Richard Simmons!

This Guy"s Simple Google Trick Sums Up Racism In A Nutshell

Google Racist search results for three black teenagers is terrible & three white teenagers different

One needs to look no further than current events to see that racism is sadly alive and well in America in 2016. From the fact that George Zimmerman can attempt to auction off a gun he used to kill a black teen, to #OscarsSoWhite, to the very fact that Donald Trump is the Republican presidential candidate, racism continues to dominate headlines in this modern day and age.

To give one example and prove just how systemic a problem racism in our country is, a guy with the Twitter handle @iBeKabir recorded this video of himself performing a very simple Google trick. First he searches for the images that come up when you google three black teenagers. The results are predominately of mugshots and inmates.

Now lets just change the color right quick, he says, replacing the wording with three white teenagers. What he yields are generic stock photos of smiling white teens palling around, some holding sporting equipment. The post has unsurprisingly accumulated over 45,000 likes and 50,000 retweets in less than 48 hours at the time of this writing and those numbers will only continue to skyrocket as the tweet goes viral obviously indicating that hes struck a chord with far too many people.

Colombia-Paraguay coin toss defies odds

Carlos Bacca abrió el marcador en el partido Colombia vs Paraguay

The preparations before Colombia"s 2-1 win over Paraguayon Tuesday evening offered yet more proof that the Copa America Centenario is truly cursed, after not one but two anthem gaffes.

As per usual, the referee flicked the coin into the air, only for it to fall to the turf and land on its edge -- much to the amazement of the respective captains, James Rodriguez and Justo Villar.

Apparently, the chance of a coin (specifically a U.S. nickel) landing vertically is roughly estimated to be 6,000-1.
