Elizabeth Warren labels Trump "money-grubber" who rooted for financial crash

Live! Hillary"s Emails,Violence at Trump Rallies,Debbie Schultz & Elizabeth Warren,News & Politics!

Elizabeth Warren unloaded on Donald Trump in a speech on Tuesday night, calling him a money-grubber, a tool of the Wall Street banks and a tax delinquent who rooted for families to get thrown out of their homes in the housing market crash.

The Massachusetts senator seized on remarks made by Trump in 2006 and recently unearthed by Hillary Clintons campaign, in which Trump said of a housing market crash that [I] sort of hope that happens because then, people like me would go in and buy If there is a bubble burst, as they call it, you know you can make a lot of money.

Her voice resonating with offense, Warren, a former Harvard professor of law and high school debate champ, said that Trump was drooling over the idea of a housing meltdown. She continued:

What kind of a man does that? What kind of a man roots for people to get thrown out of their house? What kind of a man roots for people to get thrown out of their jobs?

What kind of a man does that? Ill tell you exactly what kind of a man does that. It is a man who cares about no one but himself. A small, insecure money-grubber who doesnt care who gets hurt so long as he makes a profit off it.

What kind of man does that? A man who will never be president of the United States.

Warrens calls for prosecuting bankers, cuffing predatory lenders and protecting consumers have made her a hero for progressives and a scourge of Wall Street, and she spent much of last year deflecting supporters attempts to draft her as a 2016 presidential candidate.

Upon finally taking no for an answer, Warren backers have watched her carefully to see whether she might endorse Clinton or her opponent Bernie Sanders (she hasnt), or whether she might emerge as a potential vice-presidential running mate (its debatable).

But Warren has taken on a major role in the 2016 campaign, one that was as difficult to foresee as the rise of Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee. Whatever else the election cycle may hold in store for Warren, she has now moved, two months before the partys national convention, into the crucial role of Trump critic-in-chief.

The Democratic party is not short on Trump critics. The Senate minority leader, Harry Reid, at the weekend called Trump the worst and said he had never seen a more flawed candidate. Barack Obama has compared Trump to a host on the home-shopping network.

But it is Warren, with her unusual clarity on economic policy and business, her articulate defense of the social contract, her personal toughness and her womanhood, in the face of Trumps perceived antagonism toward women whose voice has risen above the rest.

Warren has not confined her criticism of Trump to his economic views. In some of her most powerful attacks against him, she has decried what she says are his attempts to silence critics, particularly female critics, with personal attacks against them.

Whatever @realDonaldTrump says, we wont shut up. We wont back down. This election is too important, & he wont step foot in White House, Warren tweeted earlier this month, continuing:

In reply, Trump has decorated Warren with one of the one-word epithets he has used to attempt to marginalize other opponents, such as Lyin Ted Cruz, Little Marco Rubio and Crooked Hillary Clinton. In Warrens case, the epithet is goofy.

Warrens style of attack on Trump is notable as well for its use of Trump-style blunt speech loser, pathetic, dangerous, reckless, embarrassing in a way that does not descend into vulgarity, as Rubio did in an attack late in his campaign that suggested Trump had wet himself at a debate.

Warrens first significant attack against Trump, back in March, after he had clearly emerged as the Republican frontrunner, was typical. Donald Trump knows hes a loser, she began. His insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, flagrant narcissism.

There are good reasons to suspect that Warren may not be in the running for a vice-presidential nod from Clinton, the likely nominee.

Warren has said that Clinton coddled big banks after taking campaign donations from them, a criticism picked up by Sanders. The two women are said not to have great chemistry, though Clinton has sought Warren out to consult with her. Warren remains the only female Democrat in the Senate not to have endorsed Clinton (in March she said: Im still cheering Bernie on.) A Warren pick for Clinton would not square with the conventional wisdom that candidates ought to cater, in selecting their running mates, to general-election independents, instead of the party base.

But as one of the most effective voices to have emerged against Trump, one who can match his defiance and indignation without slipping into coarseness, Warren has elevated her name in this election cycle alongside the candidates themselves and her biggest role may be yet to come.

Reports Reveal What Casey Anthony Did With Her Daughter"s Body (Photo)

Casey & Caylee Anthony:The untold story

New details have emerged about Casey Anthony, the Orlando, Florida, woman who was accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter,Caylee, in 2008. A new book, "Privilege Waived Part II: Remember Me?" alleges Anthony drove around for five days withCaylee"sbody in the trunk of her car before disposing of the vehicle in a lot.

Since she was acquitted of murdering her daughter in 2011, Casey Anthony has maintained a relatively low profile, the Daily Mail reports.

Five months after the girl"s death on June 16, 2008, the Anthony family hired the book"s author, Dominic Casey, who was a detective at the time, to find her remains.

According to the book, Casey Anthonysearched online for "fool proof suffocation," suffocation by plastic bag, and "heated wires can melt disposable breathing circuits" on the day ofCaylee"sdeath. She then allegedly logged into her Facebook page and shut off her phone for half an hour around the time thatCayleedied.

"[Casey Anthony] had changedCayleeinto her bathing suit," the detective writesin his book. "She walked her into the backyard and hooked the ladder onto the pool platform. [Casey Anthony] guidedCayleeup the ladder to the pool then maliciously drowned her."

ShepulledCayleeout of the pool and carried herthrough the side gate and into the garage, the book says. She then allegedly placed the body into the trunk of the car, leaving it there for five days.

By the fifth night, "body fluids had leaked out from the black garbage bags into the laundry bag, the trunk and onto Mama Doll, [Casey Anthony"s] clothes, her black boots and the white trash bag," Casey wrote.

She took the body to a swampy lot full of garbage and "literally threwCaylee"sbody down inside of the swampy lot," according to Casey. "She returned to her car and drove off."

After family and police eventually learned thatCayleewas missing, Casey Anthony told several lies about the girl"s disappearance, including that she and her daughter were traveling and later that the girl was with a nanny who was never found, CNN reported.

Witnesses reported that Casey Anthony never acted concerned during the girl"s disappearance, nor did she ask for help finding her; instead, she spent a significant amount of time shopping and going to nightclubs.

"The Voice": Team Christina Aguilera"s Alisan Porter Wins & Sia, Zayn And More Perform

Sia - Cheap Thrills (Performance Edit)

Tuesdays (May 24) The Voice Season 10 finale had it all.

Coach performances? You betcha! Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams all took the stage at some point (lazy much, Adam Levine?) to sing away the stress of waiting for the results.

All-star guest performances? The finale more than delivered, with performances by Sia, Zayn Malik, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Nettles, Little Big Town, CeeLo Green and more.

Less all-star former contestant performances? This was in full force, as was the struggle to remember their names.

Contestants acting surprised and excited to receive mid-priced sedans and crossover SUVs? You know it, and the awkward promo even managed to rip off James Cordens Carpool Karaoke before Alisan Porter, Laith Al-Saadi, Hannah Houston and Adam Wakefield organically ticked off exciting car features!

With all this fun, its almost a shame that the show ruined three contestants nights by actually announcing the results. Dont worry: They didnt get to it until the very end, so until then enjoy the finale in all of its glory.

Kicking off the nights excitement (or continuing it, for anyone who caught that extra hour of season recap that preceded the results) is Little Big Town. The country singers perform One Of Those Days on a rainbow stage, and are joined by Pharrell, who produced not just this song, but a total of eight tracks on their new Wanderlust album.

Next, CeeLo Green makes his grand return to The Voice to duet with Hannah Huston. The former coach lends Crazy to the show (in so many ways), and its so much better than Hannahs duet with Pharrell on Monday. In the fashion department, CeeLo doesnt disappoint, dressing like a modern take on The Wizard Of Ozs Wicked Witch of the West, right in the middle of when she (spoiler alert) melts.

Next, its time to play everyones favorite finale drinking game: Wait, Whos That Again? Drink every time you cant remember a bring back contestants name without being prompted by Carson Daly, starting with Alisan Porters bring back. Sure you recognize Paxton Ingram, but those other two that Alisan calls on to sing Hearts Straight On? Yeah, drink and drink as Kata Hay and Ryan Quinn accompany Alisan and Paxton on the track.

Joe Walsh lends Laith Al-Saadi a guitar master hand to perform Rocky Mountain Way. Its a hit for all the cool dads in the audience that lets Laith, again, showcase his guitar skills.

Its always avant-garde perfection when Sia performs. The artistic goddess sings Cheap Thrills with a trio of dancers, and its mesmerizing. The show could end right at this moment, on a high note, and no one would notice that he winners were never announced.

But we plug on. It takes a 27-time Grammy Award winner to be worthy enough to follow Sia, so thats just who takes the stage. Country singer Alison Krauss sings Willin with Adam Wakefield, and the country voices complement one another nicely.

Refill your drink, because Hannah Hustons bring back performance is next. Hannah sings Adeles When We Were Young with Bryan Bautista, Caity Peters (drink), and Brian Nhira (drink). Even though their names may have escaped the general consciousness, their talent still remains, and its a solid group performance.

Back to the actual super star guests! Zayn Malik adds a little more energy after the last two somber performances with Like I Would. Commence teen screaming everywhere.

Blake Shelton performs Shes Got A Way With Words, which is way more of a downer breakup anthem than his Go Ahead And Break My Heart duet with Gwen Stefani. His fellow coaches give him a standing ovation for his on-point performance.

Things get a little awkward during Laiths bring back performance, when Katie Basden (drink), Shalyah Fearing, and Owen Danoff are all announcedbut Owen never actually takes the stage to sing Georgia On My Mind by Ray Charles. Apparently Owen is sick (he literally tweeted a doctors note), but that memo didnt come in time to edit him out of the package (understandable) or to correctly label the video posted on the NBC site after he didnt perform (less so).

It gets very CMA in the house when Alisan Porter and Jennifer Nettles sing Unlove You. If Alisan is the least bit nervous about the forthcoming results, she does not show it during this controlled performance.

The final bring back performance is Adam Wakefields, and he brings back Mary Sarah, Nick Hagelin, and Justin Whisnat (drink) to sing Spencer Davis Groups Gimme Some Lovin. The energy level is high for everyone, but its a performance that makes it just so apparent how vocally superior Adam Wakefield is to these once-contestants.

Closing out the show (the non-results part, anyway) are Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera. Ariana starts solo with Into You, and Xtina joins her for Dangerous Woman. Its not quite at the iconic level as Xtinas Season 5 Do What U Want finale performance with Lady Gaga (mostly because there are no gold lam gowns to speak of), but its pretty spectacular nonetheless.

And that wraps up Season X of The Voice! Catch you back in the fall when Miley Cyrus spices things up.

But wait, theres more

Oh, right! The results! We cant forget the most important of the 120 minutes (wellone of the top 10 most important minutes at least).

4th Place: Team Adams Laith Al-Saadi

As of Monday night, Adam was still marveling at how amazing it was that Laith made it this far, so this ranking is about right. Never change, Laith, though do feel free to trim the beard from time to time.

3rd Place: Team Pharrells Hannah Huston

This would have been quite a miraculous upset, but she did go from Hannah Who?ston to a second runner up in a just a few weeks, so take it as a victory, girl.

2nd Place: Team Blakes Adam Wakefield

Not this time, WGWG army! Blakes talented contestant brings Shelton this-close to another victory, but he ultimately (slash inevitably) falls short to

YOUR NEW VOICE CHAMPION: Team Christinas Alisan Porter.

There is a lot of jumping and a lot of screaming between Season 10 besties Christina and Alisan as the season-long presumptive winner takes the big prize. Despite protesting to Carson, Oh my G*d I cant sing! when he unceremoniously rips her newly won trophy out of her hands and replaces it with a mic, shes forced into vocal servitude (get used to it) and semi-sings Ive Been Down That Road alongside family, randoms and confetti.

And there it is. Love it? Hate it? Just excited for Miley to coach next season? Let us know in the comments below!

"The Flash" Cisco Ramon"s Full Vibe Costume Coming Soon

The Flash - Grant Gustin on Season 2"s Finale and Setting Up Season 3

The Flash may soon see Cisco Ramon suit up in his full superhero costume. Carlos Valdes teased that at some point in the show, Cisco will appear in full Vibe costume just like in the comics.

The Flash star Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon, hinted that it is only a matter of time before Vibe appears in his entire superhero get-up. The actor sheepishly told Comicbook in a recent interview that putting Vibe in full superhero costume is not a far-fetched idea.

Reason would have it, thats all Im gonna say! Valdes said and declined to divulge any more details.

Meanwhile, Jesse Martin, who plays Joe Wells, is more excited about the prospect of seeing Vibe in full costume in The Flash. He teased that it would not be long before fans see Cisco suit up in other than his Vibe goggles, since his full superhero costume is coming soon.

However, Valdes clarified with Comicbook that Vibe will not be a mainstay in the show. He said that The Flash would continue to feature the geeky Cisco instead of his superhero persona.

I think Cisco, more than anything, is a scientist at heart. Hes a mechanical engineer, and hes a geek! So I dont think thats ever not going to be a part of him, Valdes told the publication.

Valdes and Martin will reprise their respective roles in Season 3 of The Flash. Talking about Joe and Barry Allens relationship, Martin said Joe will do everything to make sure Barry is okay following the death of his father, Henry in The Flash Season 2 Episode 22.

The Flash Season 3 will bring changes to Barry, Valdes likewise told IGN. He will be on the offense in some capacity after the catastrophic events in Season 2. He said that Cisco, Caitlyn, Harrison, and the rest of Team Flash, would definitely also be more defensive this time around.

Duke"s last tweets, earlier this month, alluded to being "absent" recently.

She also tweeted on her wedding anniversary.

Acclaimed for her acting (her career dates back to the late 1950s), Duke became best known in later life as an advocate for mental healthissues, after she was diagnosed withbipolar disorderin 1982 and wrote about it in her 1987 autobiography.

Experts on brain disorders hailed her courage in being one of the first celebrities to speak out about her disorder, depression and substance abuse.

"By bravely sharing her personal story so at odds with her professional image with the public, she became an inspiration and role model for people and their loved ones who are dealing with mental illness, and worked toward eliminating the stigma that prevents so many people from seeking help. She will be missed," said Jeffrey Borenstein, president and CEO of theBrain & Behavior Research Foundation, who interviewed Duke for his PBS show Healthy Minds.

Duke won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for herrole in The Miracle Worker, becoming the then-youngest person to win an Oscar and thus one of the most famous American teenagers ever. She earnedit playing the blind-and-deaf American icon Helen Keller, first on stage and later in the1962 film, both ofwhich told the story of how Keller learned to communicate as a child through her tutor Anne Sullivan (Anne Bancroft).

But Duke really charmed her way into American pop culture in 1963, when she was given her own series, The Patty Duke Show, createdespecially for her. At the time, no one knew, not even Duke, that she had bipolar disorder.

But producer Sidney Sheldon had noticedthat she had two distinct sides to her personality and the two came up with the idea of a show about "identical cousins" with contrasting personalities, and even different accents.

The show, which ran from 1963 to 1966, was hard work: She played both characters,Patricia "Patty" Lane, a "typical" rock "n rollAmerican teenager who occasionally got into minor trouble at school and home, and Catherine "Cathy" Lane, her more well-behaved cousin from Scotland who adores "aminuet, The Ballet Russesand crepesuzette."

Besides appearing on stage and screen, Duke even had success as a singer, with two Top 40 hits in 1965, Don"t Just Stand Thereand Say Something Funny. She also wrote two books,Call Me Anna, andBrilliant Madness: Living with Manic Depressive Illness.

And she served as president of the actors union, the Screen Actors Guild, from 1983 to 1988.

She was married four timesand had multiple affairs, which led to some confusion over the father of one of her three children, Lord of the Rings actor Sean Astin (his biological dad turned out to be one of her lovers-turned-short-lived husbands).

Duke"s life and career were tumultuous, and not just because of her bipolar disorder or the fact she worked so much (her Internet Movie Database page shows she has a movie, Power of the Air,coming out in 2017), but because of her personal life.

"I think maybe the most important part of her legacy is her acting work," said her son Sean Astin, in an interview with the Associated Press. "Above and beyond anything, the reason any of the other stuff is possible in terms of the scope of the impact that she was able to have with people was her talent and her work and her work ethic, her discipline. She worked extremely hard."

Astin said she had dealt with a multitude of ailments over the years, including emphysema after years of smoking. He said he was grateful to the rush of tributes for his mother.

"It"s just such an affirmation of the best part of her and such a relief to be able to enjoy that as opposed to the pain that everyone was feeling," Astin said. "We"re so grateful to her for living a life that generates that amount of compassion and feeling in others. So, this last hour"s a joy moment for me."

Duke married her fourth husband, drill sergeant Michael Pearce, in 1986, after meeting on the set of a TV movie,A Time to Triumph, for which Pearce served as a consultant. They moved toHayden, Idaho, adopteda son, Kevin, born in 1988. After her marriage,Duke usedthe name Anna Duke-Pearcein her writings and other professional work.

As is now routine, condolences started piling up on Twitter, addressed to Duke and to her son, Sean Astin, from famous friends and from fans.
