NBA Trade News: OKC Thunder Serge Ibaka could be perfect for Boston Celtics

Oklahoma City Thunder Serge Ibaka proved to be crucial on Tuesdays game against the Golden State Warriors. Could he be just what the Boston Celtics are looking for?

Rumours are circulating and speculations are running rampant since OKCs game against Warriors. Thunders Ibaka wasnt directly under the spotlight what with dynamic duos Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook leading OKC to victory in Game 1 with a score of 108-102. The game was fiery excitement for the players and the crowd with Thunder playing so aggressively that the Warriors delicate and well-coordinated play broke down at the second half.

Ibaka did well in that game, finishing with 11 points including a three-pointer, 11 rebounds, one assist and a shot well blocked as SuperSport reports. His backstage efforts caused a spark of rumours among NBA fans and analysts about what could happen following the results of the NBA Draft Lottery.

Ibaka only has one more season remaining on his contract with OKC. In response, his current team might let go of him if the right deal is offered in favour of acquiring younger assets. Inquisitr reports that Ryan Davis wrote on Cheat Sheet that Ibaka could very well be the perfect fit for the Boston Celtics because of the teams lack of a strong front line.

With several draft picks and a young roster, the Boston Celtics would be an obvious fit for Ibaka, Davis wrote. Boston, as previously discussed, has a weak front line and could really use a player of Ibakas calibre at the power forward position.

If the Boston Celtics does get Ibaka, he would compete with Isaiah Thomas as the leader and face of the team with his experience with OKC and his hidden potential.

Big fish, big pond! Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are adding a body of water to the 3.5 acres that make up their Hidden Hills, California, home, a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Its for swimming and things of that nature, says the pal. They removed the old pool that was there, and this will be double the size of the old pool and an unusual shape.

After the birth of their 5-month-old son, Saint, West, 38, and Kardashian, 35, moved with the baby and daughter North, 2, from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenners home in Calabasas, California, to the Bel Air mansion they purchased back in 2013. Theyd planned to sell that house after purchasing their Hidden Hills estate for $20 million in 2014, but perpetual renovations have delayed the process, with the family now expecting to move in sometime this summer.

In addition to the backyard lagoon, the couple have made other splashy upgrades, including expanding the master suite and rehabbing the vineyard.

They consulted experts to get it operable again, a source told Us in December of the couples plans for their vineyard. Kanye loves wine, and hes really excited about this.

Fire destroys old Ruby"s Diner and damages Seal Beach Pier

Flames erupted Friday morning at Seal Beach Pier, destroying the old Ruby"s Diner andsending a column of smoke over the area.

The fire began just after 7:30 a.m. at the end of the pierin the 900 block of Ocean Avenue in Seal Beach.

Flames were spotted under the pier, with fire extending to the abandonedrestaurant, said Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.

At least 70 firefighters and eight fire boatstackledthe flames as they swept through the 1950s-themeddiner. By 9 a.m., most of the flames had been extinguished.

"There is some involvement to the pier but not too much," he said ."Pier inspectors will look at the integrity of the wood and determine what repairs need to be made in order for it to be safe to the public again."

The Orange County Sheriff"s Department sent a harbor patrol boatto help fight the blaze, spokesman Lt. Mark Stichter said and the Long Beach and Los Angeles County fire departments also assisted.

The Seal Beach Pier has been damaged and destroyed several times over the decades by storms and fire. In 1983, the pier was damagedwhen huge storm waves cresting beneath it lifted 1,140 feet of the 1,835-foot deckoff its pilings. The pier, an iconic part of the city"s identity,was rebuilt with the help of private donations. The new pier was built of wood to preserve its historic look. Fire damaged the pier in 1992 and 1994, but each time it was restored.

The restaurant closed in 2013 after operating at the pier for25 years.

At the time, Seal Beach officials saidthe restaurant chain had decided not extend its agreement with the city.

Seal Beach later declared the restaurant a public nuisance due to "multiple deficiencies and unsafe conditions," the Long Beach Press-Telegram reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Jalen Ramsey, No. 5 overall pick, suffers small meniscus tear

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the second offseason in a row, the Jacksonville Jaguars" first-round draft pick went down with a knee injury, but the one that cornerback Jalen Ramsey suffered isn"t as serious as the one that cost defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. his 2015 season.

The Jaguars said Ramsey suffered a small tear to the meniscus in his right knee during Phase 2 of the conditioning program May 6-7. A source told ESPN"s Adam Schefter that Ramsey was hurt during a drill but didn"t know it at the time. Ramsey"s knee was sore after practice, the source said, leading to an MRI the next day that revealed the small tear.

Sources said that Ramsey is being told there are two possible courses of surgical treatment -- one that would keep him out four to six weeks, and one that would keep him out four to six months.

He will have a second opinion next week with Dr. James Andrews, which will help him determine which course to pursue.Depending on that opinion, he could miss some of training camp, but the Jaguars believe he will be ready for Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, a source said.

Ramsey was the fifth overall pick in last month"s draft.He is still unsigned, but this injury will not be a factor in his new deal, a source told Schefter.

The Jaguars begin organized team activities Monday. Ramsey was expected to start at corner this season opposite Davon House.

This isn"t his first injury to the right knee. Ramsey needed microfracture surgery on it during high school, ending his sophomore season before it even began.

A Florida State football source told ESPN"s Adam Caplan that Ramsey did not have any issues with his right knee during his time with the Seminoles.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, lost Fowler for the 2015 season after he suffered a torn left ACL less than an hour into the first day of the team"s rookie minicamp. The Jaguars scaled back this year"s minicamp -- they instead called it an orientation -- by focusing more on conditioning and position-specific drills, partly because of what happened to Fowler.

Ramsey isn"t the Jaguars" only draft pick with a knee issue.

Linebacker Myles Jack was one of the most talented defensive players in the draft but slid into the second round because of concerns about his surgically repaired right knee. Jack tore his lateral meniscus off the bone in September and missed the rest of the season at UCLA.

Jack told the New York Post the day before the NFL draft that he could potentially need microfracture surgery, and there have been reports that Jack also has a degenerative defect in the knee that may cause the cartilage and bone to separate.

The Jaguars" medical staff thoroughly checked out Jack"s knee, and the team felt confident enough in the medical reports to move up two spots in the second round to draft Jack with the 36th overall pick.

The Eastern Conference playoffs this year havent been nearly as exciting as the Western Conference, so its understandable that a lot of the focus has been on the Warriors, Spurs and Thunder.

But LeBron James and the Cavaliers are sneakily putting together one of the greatest starts to a postseason ever.

The Cavaliers have started the playoffs 9-0, something no Michael Jordan Bulls team ever accomplished. The 1990-91 Bulls did go 15-2 in the playoffs on the road to a title, but stumbled in the second round, dropping a game to the 76ers.

Similarly, the 1995-96 Bulls went 15-3 in the playoffs, but dropped a second round game to the New York Knicks.

Both the 1989 and 2001 Lakers playoff runs went longerthan this years Cavaliers start, with the 1989 Lakers run made strange by the fact that they started the playoffs 11-0 before being swept in the Finals by the Detroit Pistons.

The 2001 Lakers set the gold standard for playoff runs, sweeping the first three rounds and only dropping one game in the Finals to the 76ers.

The longest NBA playoff win streak ever belongs to the 1999 Spurs team, which won 12 straight, but did so after dropping a game in their opening series to the Timberwolves.
