After "Lip Sync Battle" Christina Milian"s Next TV Show May Be "Rocky Horror"

Christina Milian has been a topic of conversation on Twitter because so many of her fans are sad that Grandfathered got canceled, and there will be less of her character Vanessa in their lives.

Although Vulture and Variety gave great reviews about the finale of Grandfathered, they gave little insight into what Christina Milian has coming up for the summer.

Unfortunately, it appears that her fans may be experiencing a Christina Milian drought in 2016. As it stands, there are several potential projects on the horizon, but after the immediate future, it might not be until Halloween that any of Christina Milians fans will see her on television.

On Facebook, Christina Milian announced that she is still on TV for a bit longer after Grandfathered, and she is using her stage skills with her former Grandfathered co-star, Josh Peck, for Lip Sync Battle on May 19 on Spike TV.

About Lip Sync Battle, Billboard writes that Christina Milian fired up the stage the week before with her choreographed version of Jennifer Lopezs Waiting for Tonight.

After Lip Sync Battle, unfortunately, it might be a long and hot summer without Christina Milian. This can be harsh for fans because Christina Milian was a big part of TV in 2015 and early 2016 because of her show, Turned Up on the E! Network.

Regardless, there have not been any announcements about a new season of her reality TV series despite the fact that the announcements of the first two seasons were fairly immediate and predictable.

For instance, the first season of Christina Milians show premiered on January 18, 2015, after starting production as early as March 2014. Following a successful first season, it was announced in April 2015 that there would be a second season for Christina Milian Turned Up which premiered several months later on November 3, 2015.

While Turned Up Season 2 was immediately picked up, unfortunately, the same news was not announced for Christina Milian fans for Season 3.

In the meantime, what has been announced on the E! Network instead of Christina Milians show is Mariah Careys new reality series, and they already have a teaser, according to Bella Naija.

This means there many be no rhyme or reason to predicting when the announcement by the E! Network about Christina Milian Turned Up having a Season 3 will happen.

Unless another project is announced, the next likely option to see Christina Milian acting might be when she plays Magenta in Rocky Horror Picture Show that debuts on FOX on Halloween.

Outside of acting and singing, Christina Milian is a business woman and owns a fashion line called We Are Pop Culture. While she may launch a new app at any time or promote a product she loves (such as her Viva Diva Wines), it is likely that fashion is the only way Christina Milian fans can hope to see more of her this summer.

After all, Christina Milian spent a majority of the summer of 2015 managing pop-up stores for We Are Pop Culture in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, according to Daily Mail.

In some ways, it does seem that Christina Milian could be teasing about potential We Are Pop Culture fashion lines. For example, on May 14, Christina Milian was photographed wearing a bold shirt with screen-printed guns, according to Mirror.

On May 13, Christina Milian was photographed by Daily Mail wearing a stunning black evening gown for the AltaMed Power Up, We Are The Future Gala in Beverly Hills.

Whatever is next, people continue to be fascinated with almost every aspect of Christina Milians life including her take on motherhood. For example, when Christina Milian graced the cover of Georgie magazine, The YBF quotes her stating the following.

The only thing that I stress out about is, how am I going to make sure that I balance out my time for motherhood? How am I going to make this work? Because my daughter that time means everything to her and to us. Shes all I got. We could work really hard but we could watch time fly, you know? Tomorrows not promised.

Oklahoma City versus Golden State: The NBA needs this

Oklahoma City versus Golden State in the western conference finals. I have always told myself never to jump ahead when it comes to the Oklahoma City Thunder. As soon as I do, it comes back and bites me and they lose in the second round. However, when it comes to the possible match-up of Thunder versus Warriors, I just cant help it.

One of the biggest games of the year was when Golden State played against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Ultimately, Stephen Curry blasted a 3from Norman to win the game in overtime by a score of 121-118. A play that would later used to promote the NBA app in a commercial.

Right now, Oklahoma City is up 3-2 on San Antonio and Golden State won their series withPortland. The table is almost setfor a possible and likely #OKCvsGSW hashtag posted all over twitter.OKC versus GSW could be one of those 30 for 30 series youll see on ESPN like 5 years from now. As fans of basketball, we need this series and we deserve it. Lets face facts, the 2016 NBA playoffs have disappointing.

Cleveland is sweeping through the east, Toronto and Miami is a complete snooze fest, G*d loves Portland because the NBA doesnt, and Golden State just isnt as much fun to watch without Curry on the floor. The Clippers and Mavericks both had injuries, and Charlotte was just there. The only series that has been remotely exciting is currently Oklahoma City versus San Antonio.

Youd have to assume that if either Toronto or Miami (it really doesnt matter which) met Cleveland, the final result would be a sweep or a 4-1 series win for Cleveland. So, we can presumably predict a Golden State versus Cleveland NBA Finals rematch. However, if the Oklahoma City Thunder played Golden State in the Western ConferenceFinals, it could be the highest rated series in the entire playoffs and would be the first real test for Golden State in the post season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder played Golden State three times during the regular season. While the Warriors won all three games, they literally came down to the wire. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were both on the NBAs biggest stage against the Splash Brothers and Draymond Green.

Now, as far as the Spurs are concerned, I can understand the fans of San Antonio. They are a great team; however, they dont have the drama or the inconsistencies than that the Thunder possess. San Antonio is a well oiled machine, which in laymans terms equals boring. Admit it, you dont want to see a San Antonio versus Cleveland NBA Finals again, do you? Weve been watching the Spurs in the postseason since David Robinson was their star player.

The NBA deserves a series between Golden State and Oklahoma City, there will be drama, excitement, buzzer beaters, and lets not forget Westbrook. I mean, G*d only knows what h**l do in this series. He could literally try to match Curry shot for shot. Which would be way more exciting than San Antonio and Golden State. Durant is liable to go nuts and start bombing threes like Reggie Miller versus the New York Knicks in the early 90s.

If youre an NBA fan, regardless of your favorite team, you need to pray to the basketball Gods and ask them to please let the stars align for a Oklahoma City versus Golden State series. It could very well be one of the greatest Western Conference Finals in the history of the NBA.

Stephen Curry and the defending NBA champions bounced back in Game 2 Wednesday night, evening up the Western Conference Finals at 1-1 with a convincing 118-91 beatdown of the OKC Thunder.

The MVP shook off an elbow injury after chasing a loose ball into the stands, detonating in the third quarter for 17 of his team-high 28 points.

Per the AP:

The elbows fine, said Curry, who hit it first on a metal platform then later bonked it again. It looks like it has a tennis ball on top of it. I should be all right. [] He seemed more than fine, scoring 15 straight points in less than 2 minutes during one dazzling third-quarter stretch to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-91 on Wednesday night to even the Western Conference finals at one game apiece.

Business as usual. This is what he does, coach Steve Kerr said, before being asked how he feels during such a Curry onslaught and responding with a chuckle: I feel great joy. Its true.

Kevin Durant scored 29 points but just six after halftime. Russell Westbrook had 16 points and 12 assists for the Thunder, who were outrebounded for the first time in five meetings with the Warriors this season. [] They were sending three guys. I was trying to make the right pass, Durant said. Maybe Ive just got to shoot over three people.

Teddy, der weiterhin mit seiner Zukunft hadert, legt sich fr die Mdchen ins Zeug, doch als seine Bemhungen fehlschlagen, wechselt er die Fronten und versucht zusammen mit den Radners die Nachbarsgren zu vertreiben.

Ja, auch in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising muss die noch junge Familie Radner (Seth Rogen und Rose Byrne mit Kind) wieder unten durch. Regisseur Nicholas Stoller schenkt der idyllischen Nachbarschaft mit einer partywtigen Schwesternschaft richtig ein. Mit besserem und vor allem intelligenterem Witz, ernsteren Tnen und einem vllig abgedrehten Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) bertrifft der zweite Teil das Original. Viel Neues gibt es zwar nicht zu entdecken, doch wer mit dem ersten Teil warm wurde, wird mit Neighbors 2 garantiert Spass haben.

May Avenue bridge over Northwest Expressway collapses

OKC Thunder vs Golden State Warriors - Game 1 - 1st Half Highlights - May 16, 2016 - 2016 NBA Finals

Crews are investigating a bridge collapse in northwest Oklahoma City Thursday afternoon.

The collapse occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the May Avenue bridge over Northwest Expressway after the driver of a tractor-trailer rig that was headed west hit the bridge.

The truck involved is with Sunbelt Rentals.

All lanes of Northwest Expressway and May Avenue have been shut down in the area.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Engineers are evaluating the damage to the bridge. An estimate on the time needed for repairs is not known at this time, city officials said.

Officials said the bridge, which was last inspected in August 2014, has a clearance of 14 feet and four inches.

Detours in the area are marked with signs.

Yuri Kochiyama, today"s Google Doodle, fought for civil rights and praised Osama bin Laden

Thursday, May 19, this year would"ve been the 95th birthday of Yuri Kochiyama, a prominent Japanese-American activist who passed away at 93 two years ago. Google is marking the occasion with one of its trademark doodles.

Some of Kochiyama"s work was deeply, clearly admirable. As an associate of Malcolm X, she was an important nonblack ally to the more militant end of the civil rights movement. She endured forced internment during World War II, and was an outspoken advocate for reparations to internees, which would eventually be passed in 1988. She was a vocal opponent of the Vietnam War and advocate for inmates she viewed as political prisoners.

But other commitments of hers were more ambiguous. She was an outspoken admirer of Mao Zedong even after the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution. She praised Malcolm X for his "admiration for Mao and Ho Chi Minh," and worked closely with the Revolutionary Action Movement, an "urban guerrilla warfare" organization based on "a synthesis of the thought of Malcolm X, Marx and Lenin, and Mao Zedong." The activist Robert Williams gifted her with a copy of the Little Red Book, and she later thanked him for "the gift of Mao"s philosophy."

Two positions of Kochiyama"s stand out as particularly alarming. First, she was an enthusiastic supporter of the Peruvian terrorist group Shining Path, a Maoist organization that has conducted a brutal insurgency killing tens of thousands of people since 1980. Peru"s Truth and Reconciliation Commission found that Shining Path personally killed or disappeared at least 30,000.

"Its tactics include the burning of ballot boxes and the public "executions" of moderate local leaders and others, including nuns and priests, who are seen as rivals for the allegiance of the poor," according to a 1992 New York Times report. "In wildly exaggerated demonstrations of Maoist precepts, children have been killed for political "crimes." Amnesty International says the guerrillas routinely torture, mutilate and murder captives."

"We reject and condemn human rights because they are reactionary, counter-revolutionary, bourgeois rights," founder Abimael Guzmn declared in one document. "Rather than concentrate its attacks on the armed forces or police, Shining Path has predominantly singled out civilians," Human Rights Watch noted in 1997. "The Shining Path has pragmatically avoided taking captives unless it intends to execute them Shining Path has been reported to torture captured civilians before executing them." Shining Path also used rape as a weapon of war.

This did not appear to bother Kochiyama, who joined a delegation to Peru organized by the Maoist Revolutionary Communist Party, which defends the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. She read, in her words, "the kind of reading materials that I could become "educated" on the real situation in Peru; not the slanted reports of corporate America. The more I read, the more I came to completely support the revolution in Peru." In other words, she read, and believed, Maoist propaganda denying Shining Path"s war crimes.

After her return from Peru, she declared, "What has been taking place in both Peru and the US is a serious campaign to discredit Guzmn and the Shining Path movement, tainting them as terrorists, undermining their struggle with lies, isolating them, and intimidating anyone who might support them."

Yuri Kochiyama declared Osama bin Laden "one of the people that I admire" Getty Images Osama bin Laden, on a horse.

Kochiyama was a thorough-going opponent of what she viewed as American imperialism, and like some radical anti-imperialists this occasionally led her to admiring truly loathsome figures, because she thought they were effective at combating American empire. Abimael Guzmn was one. Osama bin Laden was another.

In a 2003 interview for the Objector: A Magazine of Conscience and Resistance, Kochiyama explained:

Im glad that you are curious why I consider Osama bin Laden as one of the people that I admire. To me, he is in the category of Malcolm X, Che Guevara, Patrice Lumumba, Fidel Castro, all leaders that I admire. They had much in common. Besides being strong leaders who brought consciousness to their people, they all had severe dislike for the US government and those who held power in the US.

bin Laden may have come from a very wealthy family, but by the time he was twenty, he came to loathe the eliteness and class conduct of his family

You asked, "Should freedom fighters support him?" Freedom fighters all over the world, and not just in the Muslim world, dont just support him; they revere him; they join him in battle.

You stated that some freedom fighters responded that bin Ladens agenda is more reactionary and does not speak to the needs of the masses of people who exist under US dominance. bin Laden has been primarily fighting US dominance even when he received money from the US when he was fighting in Afghanistan. He was fighting for Islam and all people who believe in Islam, against westerners, especially the US--even when he was fighting against the Russians.

To be clear, this is Kochiyama defending bin Laden who, besides being a mass murderer, was a vicious misogynist and hardly the brave anti-imperial class traitor Kochiyama fancies him as against other leftists who correctly noted that you can oppose American imperialism without allying or supporting violent jihadism.

Kochiyama"s praise for Che Guevara and Fidel Castro is also controversial, and,I think wrong, but is at least somewhat common on the left. Sympathy for Shining Path and bin Laden, by contrast, is not a common left position basically anywhere.
