Michael Crabtree's problems with Seahawks predate Richard Sherman

If you think Michael Crabtrees issues with the Seattle Seahawks in general, Richard Sherman in particular, began in the NFC title game last season, think again. They might have just reached a crescendo with Shermans rant about Crabtree.Im the best corner in the game, he said after tipping away a potential game-winning fade pass from Colin Kaepernick to Crabtree in the end zone and turning it into a game-sealing interception.

When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, thats the result youre going to get. Dont you ever talk about me Crabtree, dont you open your mouth about the best, or Im going to shut it for you real quick. L.O.B.

Legion of Boom aside, both Crabtree and Sherman are having subpar seasons. But Crabtree has never had real success against the Seahawks.

In nine games against Seattle, including the playoffs, Crabtree has yet to catch a touchdown pass, compared to seven TDs in nine regular-season games against the Arizona Cardinals and seven in 10 such games against the St. Louis Rams.

Then theres this from ESPN Stats & Information: Crabtree has caught only 49.2 percent of his targets against Seattle in his career, compared to 64.0 percent against the rest of the NFL.

Crabtrees career numbers against the Seahawks: 3.4 receptions per game. 38.9 receiving yards per game and six drops.

Keep in mind, only six of those games have come since the Seahawks drafted Sherman.

And in last Januarys NFC Championship Game, while Crabtree did have four receptions, none came on the side of the field usually patrolled by Sherman, per ESPN Stats & Information.

But also keep this in mind: While Sherman led the league with eight interceptions last season, he has only one this season.

Neither player took questions from the media about the game in a short week.

Paige VanZant Wins $50000 Bonus For UFC Debut

by Olivia TruffautNews

Paige VanZant won her UFC debut fight on Saturday, continuing on her meteoric rise to MMA stardom.

VanZant, a 20-year-old former model, beat fellow UFC newbie Kailin Curran on Saturday with a third-round TKO. The duo won the title of Fight of the Night, which comes with a $50,000 bonus each.

VanZant stumbled into UFC after she picked up boxing at 15, and eventually working her way up to MMA fights when she was 18. At 20, she was unable to compete in The Ultimate Fighter: 20 because there would be alcohol in the reality series fighter house, and Vanzant seemed proud to make her mark in a fight, rather than on the show.

I definitely proved myself in this fight. I proved that I didnt need to be on The Ultimate Fighter to make a name for myself. And Im really excited to fight whoever comes out of the The Ultimate Fighter house as soon as possible, VanZant said after the fight.

So many pictures to share from the fight!!!! thank you friends and fans for the support. #ufcaustin #ufc #fanzants pic.twitter.com/f6aEEv8Hit

and this is only the beginning!! pic.twitter.com/91TNuizSdq Paige Vanzant (@PAIGEVANZANT) November 24, 2014

At 54 and 115 pounds, VanZant is making history as the second youngest female in the UFC, and her fight with Curran was one of the first in UFCs women strawweight. When she was declared the winner of the fight, VanZant burst into tears.

Winner winner!!!! G*d and my fight team got me this win tonight!!:) thank you #FanZants #UFCAustin #UFC pic.twitter.com/p2gRUHYcM9

Paige Vanzant (@PAIGEVANZANT) November 23, 2014

To prepare, VanZant revealed that she studied tapes of Currans previous fights to get a read on her signature moves and practice how to evade them.

Its an unreal experience. I worked so hard for this. I worked hard on my conditioning and it really paid off. Im so excited it doesnt feel like its real yet. I knew she [Curran] was a really tough fighter and I knew one of us was going to land the first punch. I wanted to go for it and was able to do it, VanZant told reporters following the fight.

She may still be in shock of her first win, but VanZant already has her eye on the ultimate prize: to be crowned the strawweight champion. I can be the star of this weight class. I have the potential to win every fight the UFC offers me. I want the belt and I definitely have the mindset of a champion, she said in a recent interview.

Two FBI Agents Shot at Barricaded Home Near Ferguson, Missouri

Two FBI agents were shot at a barricaded home not far from the protest-wracked St. Louis suburb of Ferguson early Wednesday, police said. An FBI official told NBC News that it may have been an attempt at "suicide by cop."

One agent was struck in the shoulder and the other in the leg while helping University City police prepare to make an arrest. They were taken to a hospital for surgery and were expected to recover.

It happened just before 4 a.m. ET. The shooting was "not directly related to the Ferguson protests," said an FBI spokeswoman in St. Louis. An FBI official in Washington said the suspect was accused of firing at police Tuesday night.

Authorities in St. Louis County have been dealing with violent demonstrations after a grand jury decided not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson over the fatal shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown.

This Morning from CBS News, Nov. 26, 2014

John Eresian, left, of Exeter, N.H. and his daughter from San Francisco make their way through New York's Grand Central Terminal to catch a train to Connecticut for the Thanksgiving holiday, on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 AP

Thanksgiving travel

The busiest travel day of the year is being snarled by a massive storm system. The storm is moving up the East Coast and is threatening Thanksgiving plans for millions of Americans. Vicente Arenas reports from New York's LaGuardia Airport.

Ferguson protests 2

Overnight in Ferguson, Missouri, police were assisted by hundreds of additional National Guard troops to control what appeared to be fewer protesters than the more violent demonstrators Monday night. Still, officers used some tear gas and pepper spray, protesters set a squad car on fire at City Hall and broke windows of the building, and vandals managed to damage some additional storefronts. But a day after the grand jury decision clearing Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, vast demonstrations by thousands of people stretched across the country and included dramatic, and even dangerous incidents.

Ferguson small businesses

Business owners in Ferguson hope to clean up after two nights of unrest. At least a dozen commercial buildings burned to the ground. Others were looted. CBS News correspondent Vladimir Duthier reports on how business owners bore the brunt of the outrage on the streets of Ferguson.

Unequal justice

The grand jury's decision not to indict Wilson reinforced a perception in the black community that justice is not always applied equally. As CBS News correspondent Jeff Pegues reports, a CBS News poll conducted shortly after the shooting in Ferguson showed 71 percent of African-Americans believe police are more likely to use deadly force against a black person than a white person, while a majority of whites do not believe race plays a role.

Jihadist taunts

A British jihadist who told CBS News correspondent Clarissa Ward on "60 Minutes" that he couldn't even love his mother because she isn't a Muslim, has seemingly thwarted U.K. authorities and managed to travel to Syria. On social media, he taunts British law enforcement for letting him "breeze through Europe to the Islamic State."

Charity fraud

The holidays are about giving. And while many shower loved ones with presents, millions of Americans also provide support for charitable causes. In its annual report on philanthropy, Giving USA estimated Americans donated 4.2 percent more to charities in 2013 than the year before. Many charities represent noble and worthwhile causes, but not all deserve your help - some because they're poorly run; others because they're simply frauds.

Green Friday

Black Friday is less than 48 hours away, but in Colorado, shoppers are also hearing about "Green Friday" bargains -- green for marijuana. CBS News correspondent Manuel Bojorquez reports from Denver, where the pot industry wants a piece of the holiday shopping rush.

Indie pop

Indie singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson gained mainstream exposure in an Old Navy ad in 2007 with her song, "The Way I Am." Michaelson now has more than a decade in the music business. With this year's release of her album, "Lights Out," Michaelson is in the pop spotlight. She tells CBS News correspondent Anthony Mason about what may be her toughest year -- and how it resulted in her most powerful and popular music yet.

Protests against Ferguson decision grow across US

By SADIE GURMANAssociated Press

People protesting the Ferguson, Missouri, grand jury decision took to the streets in cities across the U.S. for a second day Tuesday, showing that the racially charged case has inflamed tensions thousands of miles from the predominantly black St. Louis suburb.

For many, the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson recalled other troubling encounters with law enforcement. The refrain "hands up, don't shoot" became a rallying cry over police killings nationwide.

A look at some of Tuesday's demonstrations:

NEW YORK

Thousands of people marched for a second night in Manhattan, gathering in Union Square before splitting into several smaller groups, chanting "No justice, No peace." Some held signs saying "Jail killer cops" and "Justice for Mike Brown."

One group marched uptown to Times Square, meandering between lanes of traffic as police followed. The protesters, who seemed to grow in number as the night wore on, disrupted traffic on the FDR Drive and congregated at the entrances to the Williamsburg and Manhattan bridges and the Queens Midtown Tunnel.

Commissioner William Bratton said police were giving protesters "breathing room."

"As long as they remain nonviolent, and as long as they don't engage in issues that cause fear or create vandalism, we will work with them to allow them to demonstrate," he said.

CALIFORNIA

Protesters flooded the U.S. 101 freeway Tuesday night, carrying barricades that they laid across lanes and bringing traffic to a halt.

Within a few minutes Highway Patrol and LAPD officers chased the few dozen protesters off the freeway and corralled them on an overpass, where one of the barricades was thrown on to the freeway below. There were no immediate reports of any arrests.

The protesters had broken away from a larger, primarily peaceful group of hundreds who had marched for miles through city streets since mid-afternoon, converging on police headquarters.

In Oakland, a group of protesters is vandalizing police cars and businesses in downtown Oakland, smashing windows at car dealerships, restaurants, and convenience stores on a second night of protests.

The crowd briefly shut down two major freeways, and set several trash bins on fire across a major street before police in riot helmets forced them to disperse.

MINNEAPOLIS

A rally in Minneapolis turned scary when a car struck a protester and then burst through a pack of others who surrounded it. A woman suffered minor injuries.

Several hundred people had gathered Tuesday afternoon near the 3rd Precinct police outpost to show solidarity with Brown. The driver called police soon after to report the incident, and police spokesman John Elder said the incident was under investigation.

CLEVELAND

Several hundred people marched down a freeway ramp to block rush-hour traffic while protesting the Missouri developments and Saturday's fatal shooting by an officer of 12-year-old Tamir Rice of Cleveland, who had a pellet gun that looked like a real firearm.

"The system wasn't made to protect us," said one of the protesters, 17-year-old Naesha Pierce. "To get justice, the people themselves have to be justice."

ST. LOUIS

Protesters disrupted downtown traffic for several hours by blocking major intersections, an interstate highway and a Mississippi River bridge connecting the city to Illinois.

Riot police arrested several demonstrators who sat in the middle of Interstate 44 near the Edward Jones Dome. They used pepper spray to disperse the crowd.

Demonstrators also swarmed the steps of the federal courthouse chanting, "You didn't indict! We shall fight!"

ELSEWHERE

Several hundred people from historically black schools Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University in Georgia held peaceful demonstrations. But as the night wore on, some groups split off and tried to block a freeway, and police said some windows were broken.

Police said 21 people were arrested, mostly for failure to disperse when asked, but one person faces a weapons charge.

In Portland, Oregon, a rally drew about 1,000 people who listened to speeches then marched through downtown. A splinter group of about 300 people kept going, marching across a Willamette River bridge. Bus and light rail traffic was disrupted, and police used pepper spray and made several arrests.

Iggy Azalea tells fans: 'Do not EVER come to my home'

Iggy Azalea is finding some aspects of her fame a little hard to deal with.

Azalea, 21, just bought a mini mansion in California with her boyfriend and has apparently been dealing with unwanted guests.

In an effort to deal with the problem, Azalea took to Instagram to tell everyone to stop.

Captioned, "Mind your business please and Thankyou [sic]", the Australian-born rapper aired her annoyance at fans and the media in a snarky text-post.

"Unless I've personally invited you do not EVER come to my home," Azalea wrote.

"I have had this happen a few times in the last 48hrs thanks to blogs posting information that is private as entertainment," wrote Azalea.

"Please respect our privacy, use your brain and don't attempt to visit," she continued.

"Security will see you in our cameras and remove you on sight. There is zero chance your unwanted visit will result in us meeting."

Azalea and her LA Lakers boyfriend Nick Young may have only been together for a year, but that was long enough for them to decide to drop a cool $4.05 million on the Tarzana mansion formerly owned by pop princess Selena Gomez.

Varietyreportsthe couple made the purchase through Young's mum, who acted as trustee for the blind trust.

Young, 29, confirmed toDu Jourmagazinethat he'd bought a house with his "laid back" girlfriend.

"Me and Iggy just bought a house. We've been getting really close lately," said Young.

"I've never been with somebody like this. So, I'm taking it as a challenge."

Azalea and Young bought the estate of Gomez in September.

Despite having all the fancy trappings and swag they could want, Young toldDu Jourthey fight over ordinary things.

"We fight over the TV remote because she watches TLC and the Weather Channel all night," said Young.

The former Disney star originally bought the compound for $2.55 million in 2011 and completed extensive renovations and extensions, before putting it on the market in May this year for $4.1 million.

Gomez has reportedly moved into a larger mansion in Calabasas, but she hardly sold because the Tarzana property was too small.

The main house has six bedrooms, and the self-contained guest house above the two-car garage has a separate entry,

There are seven full-sized and two half-sized bathrooms on the property, which also boasts wrap-around balconies and a state-of-the-art kitchen.

Outside, the backyard contains a pool, spa, fire pit and barbecue, and a sports court.

To be fair to the young couple, the driveway is very short so constant harassment from fans would be potentially noisy as well as visible from the main house perhaps not the best purchase for those seeking privacy.

However the fact Azalea just won two AMAs beating Eminem and Drake to take out favourite hip-hop artist, and favourite hip-hop album should probably soften the negatives of celebrity life somewhat.

Accepting her award for best hip-hop album for her record New Classic, Azalea said the prize validated her decision to pursue her dreams.

"It means so much to me that it is the best hip-hop, because that's what inspired me to move to America and pursue my dreams, and it's what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and to get through my life and to better times," said Azalea.

"It means that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake, and come out with this, it's amazing."
