WWE Raw: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for November 24

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of Monday Night Raw for November 24.

Survivor Series exceeded all expectations and ended up delivering some of the greatest moments the WWE Universe has seen in months.

Not only did Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt have a great match, but the main event provided numerous opportunities for the crowd to chant "This is awesome!"

Dolph Ziggler was the hero of the night after he came back from a three-on-one handicap to win the Elimination Match and put The Authority out of power, but the big story everyone will be talking about is who helped Ziggler overcome the odds.

The icon Sting finally made his WWE debut at the end of the bout, delivering his signature Scorpion Death Drop to Triple H and helping to secure the win for Team Cena. Scratch that, for Team Ziggler.

We also sawthe Divas and Tag Team Championships change hands at SS. Nikki Bella defeated AJ Lee in an extremely controversial way after Brie locked lips with AJ and then Nikki took her out in a matter of seconds.

It seems like a pre-match kiss is never a good thing when AJ is involved. An even bigger, and happier, surprise came when The Miz and Damien Mizdow shocked everyone and defeated Gold and Stardust for the titles.

Mizdow has made this duo into one of the most entertaining acts in WWE today, so it's great to see him finally rewarded with his first championship after being so consistently good for so long.

It's going to be a big night on Raw. Hopefully they can follow that blockbuster of a pay-per-view with a good show.

Who will be in charge now that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are out of power?

How big will the fallout be from Big Show's betrayal?

Will Dolph Ziggler finally get the push he deserves?

What can we expect now that Sting has officially appeared in a WWE ring?

And lastly, will we finally find out why Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have apparently started feuding?

Make sure to bookmark this page and come back Monday night at the start ofWWERawat 8 p.m. ET. Bleacher Report will have answers to these questions andlive coverage of all the action.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel resigns

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel speaks during a news conference at the Pentagon, Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, sporting a bandage on his cheek, an injury reportedly a result of a "kitchen accident."

Secretary of State Chuck Hagel is resigning from President Barack Obama's Cabinet.

His decision comes after two weeks of meetings with President Obama, the New York Times reported, with the president requesting Hagel's resignation on Friday.

"Chuck Hagel has been no ordinary secretary of defense," Obama said at a press conference on Monday, announcing Hagel's resignation. "He understands our men and women like few others, because he stood where they stood. He's been in the dirt, and he stood in the mud."

Hagel, a former Republican senator and enlisted soldier, has served as Pentagon chief since early 2013.

Obama and others had reportedly pressured Hagel into stepping down, but the president was effusive in his praise for defense secretary. The president thanked him for toggling between managing a shrinking budget and an expanding war in Iraq and Syria and for not sugarcoating what he said behind closed doors.

Let me just say that Chuck is and has been a great friend of mine," Obama said. "Ive known him, admired him and trusted him for nearly a decade, since I was a green-behind-the-ears senator.

Hagel had praise for the president and Vice President Joe Biden, who stood alongside the two men at the announcement.

"It's been the greatest privilege of my life to lead and, most importantly, to serve," Hagel said.

The secretary will continue to work under Obama until the president announces a new nominee.

Retiring House Speaker Sam Smith rants, rips and reflects at Pa. Press Club ...

In what was retiring House Speaker Sam Smith's last appearance before the Pennsylvania Press Club on Monday, he used the opportunity to share some rants, convey some insights, and offer some advice to the incoming governor.

Smith is vacating his House seat representing Jefferson County on Sunday after a 28-year career including four years as House speaker. He succeeded his father, L. Eugene Smith, who held the seat for 23 years before him.

That drew an observation from Philadelphia Daily News columnist John Baer who hosted the press club luncheon at the Hilton Harrisburg: "Taken together, that's a half a century of Smith representation."

Smith said at this point, he has no regrets about his decision to retire but admits he may feel a few pangs when Jan. 6 rolls around and it is swearing-in day for the General Assembly - the official start of the new legislative session.

On what's next for him, Smith said he hasn't ruled out anything and says he never says never unless he means it.

House Speaker Sam Smith, R-Jefferson, will leave office on Sunday after a 28-year legislative career. Jan Murphy/Pennlive

"I really have made no commitments in a long-term sense and I'm kinda basking in that uncertainty about what lies ahead for me in 2015," he said.

    Other highlights of Smith's remarks:

Regarding a pre-Wolf legislative session: He anticipated being asked about his thoughts on the appropriateness of the GOP-controlled House and Senate trying to push through Republican-supported legislation before Republican Gov. Tom Corbett leaves office and Democratic Gov.-elect Tom Wolf takes the oath of office on Jan. 20.

"The Legislature gets sworn in the first Tuesday in January and if they can organize the House and the Senate and go through the normal process of bills being introduced, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that as a function of governing. It is totally allowable and within the realm of the constitutional construction," he said

Inglorious moments in the life of a legislator: Contrary to those who think lawmakers work only when the House is in session, he said the job really comes with no off hours. He said he had constituents approach him on a Saturday afternoon while he is out mowing the grass and at the grocery store.

When they came in his district office, those visits at times proved memorable. He shared a story about two constituents who came in to show off their scars from a knife wound and another from an operation. "Both were below the belt line," Smith said.

There was the constituent who got mad when Smith's aide wouldn't take the office screwdriver and remove her expired license plate from her car. Another time, a guy came into his office, sat on a chair and left a puddle under it when he left.

"I just took that that was his polite way of saying, 'p**s on you, Sam,'" Smith said with a laugh.

"It is truly nonstop and the demands go beyond what the average person might anticipate," he said. "Those are some of the things I'm not going to miss."

A House too big? Smith said the one reason he would like to hang around a little longer in the 203-member House would be totake another run at downsizing the House, which has passed the House in each of the past two sessions but never made it to a vote by the full Senate.

"It would make the House of Representatives a more productive and cohesive organization," he said. "I think a modestly smaller size of the House is something that really should be taken serious. It's not just a reform idea to distract people from what else is going on."

About the menacing media: He said he found dealing with the Right to Know requests for public information to be burdensome. He also questioned the media's news judgment when it comes to stories about an out-of-state fund-raiser he held, pay raises and staff salaries.

"Is that news or is that click bait?" he said.

Advice to Wolf on working with the Legislature: Smith said Wolf needs to put "good people" in positions around him who have the ability to communicate with legislative leaders.

"That is the most important thing that an incoming governor can do to give them a chance to be successful in governing and perhaps successful at their agenda," Smith said.

Odell Beckham Jr. steals the show, Cowboys steal the game

Not even the play of the year could stop a Cowboys team desperate to get as far away from its 8-8 past.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Big-eyed banter and exuberant expressions rolled between tight end James Hanna, receiver Devin Street and running backs Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar just inside the Dallas locker room. The Cowboys had risen to embarrass the Giants, 31-28, Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.

But this Cowboys quartet chose to re-hash a few Odell Beckham Jr. moments.

    Especially that one-handed one.

"Man, that s**t right there, I've never seen that before!" Hanna said of Beckham's mesmerizing catch that is already NFL legend. Hanna leaned his arm way back. "Man, he caught that ball way behind his head!"

The other three nodded in agreement. One of them muttered that Beckham was his size, maybe a little smaller. They all nodded at that.

It was a playful exchange which only made their night more fun. The real joy for Dallas was moving to an 8-3 record and dropping the Giants to an opposite, 3-8 mark, while giving their NFC East rivals a sixth-straight loss. The Cowboys erased deficits of 14-3 and 21-10 and 28-24 in winning at the Giants for the fourth time in their last five visits. They beat the Giants for the fifth time in their last six meetings overall.

Beckham stole the show -- but Dez Bryant stole the game.

It was Bryant's 13-yard touchdown catch from Tony Romo with 1:01 left that lifted Dallas to victory and propelled them toward their next challenge -- a Thanksgiving Day clash against the Philadelphia Eagles (8-3) for sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

The Cowboys look grown up. Where they used to shrivel, they stand firm.

Where they used to produce turnovers, they manufacture touchdowns.

Their offensive line is beastly. Their quarterback is seasoned. Their running back, DeMarco Murray, is patient, fast, slick and delivers.

Bryant seems to push things over the top.

Like Beckham, he has the "it factor" at receiver, that wow, the thing that can make teams sing. Beckham is a rookie receiver. Bryant is in his fifth pro season.

Bryant plays the game more polished now, more determined, more hungry, more confident. He looks like a player who has survived self-reflection, a re-boot. He is not afraid to play physical football nor, certainly, fast-track football. His eyes are wide open and his heart is all in it.

    He epitomizes the Cowboys.

They are playing like a team that, after three consecutive 8-8 seasons, yearns to be far more than average. A team demanding it moves beyond that. A team where three years of 8-8 have resulted in mind games, built pure anguish and frustration for the Cowboys.

    They are letting it out.

"That dude (Beckham), he loves the game, you can tell by the way he bounces around the field," Bryant said. "You have to give him credit. But what it boils down to for a team is staying alive. How much you want to win the game? We wanted this game. We were willing to do everything it took to win it. That's why we kept coming back. That's what makes us different.

"You are talking about a team that has some mental toughness now. It's battle-tested. And we are playing for each other. That goes a long way."

You kept hearing this message over and over in the Dallas locker room, from tight end Jason Witten to kick returner Dwayne Harris to cornerback Orlando Scandrick to Romo.

Talent mixed with desire. A longing for more than 8-8.

Romo calls the way they are playing as "being comfortable in uncomfortable situations."

The players say the message has been preached since the earliest offseason workouts. For good measure, we got a replay from Jason Garrett, the Cowboys head coach, in simply explaining how his team handles pressure.

Garrett said: "So, you are down 11 on the road at the half, it is a matter of challenging each other to stay focused. It is going to come down to your mental toughness. It is going to come down to your will and your ability to fight. I thought all of those things were demonstrated by our football team."

He is right. Dallas just looks different. Feels different. Sounds different.

Bryant added: "That's being together and having everyone's back. The standards we have for one another, you know, just basically believing in one another. I think that we showed that tonight. One thing about this football team is that we play together and we stick together."

Dallas has learned from its experiences, Witten said. From all of its failures, he insisted. They have decided to take their talent and turn it into more than 8-8.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as he walked to his car to leave MetLife Stadium, talked about this journey. He talked about what he sees.

"Well, we've got a quarterback who knows what he is doing, who can see a lot and do a lot," Jones said. "We've got a pretty special running back. A good offensive line. The defense is really coming on. Good players, great attitude. Great coaching. A common focus, vision and goal. Fed up with being 8-8."

Team fed up. Jones fed up.

He is reminded his team is 8-3.

And that there are five Cowboys games left.

"We still haven't put that 8-8 out of the realm of possibility for this season, not just yet," Jones said. "I think we will. It's going to be pretty important that we do that and when we do that. Everybody can get back with us once we do that. Because I think that moment and the meaning of it will push this team even higher."

Bow Sends A Crew To Get Tony Rock After Calling Erica Mena A w***e

...now wait a minute motherf****a?~ Polow Da Don

Bow Wow, lawwwdddd help us all. Anyway, here's a quick back story: Rumors went swirling around about Bow Wow's fiance Erica Mena having a body count of more than 300 men son Chris Rock's younger brother Tony decided to take a few jabs at the reality star by calling her a whoreor to be exact, he tweeted "Every N**** falls in love with a full blown w***e once in his life."

He also took aim at Bow Wow for now being "unemployed" due to the announcement that after 14-years on air '106 & Park' would be saying bye-bye to their televised countdown. Now Bow Wow did retaliate via Twitter about having a "talk" but it may have been just a little bit more than that. Just to help out, Bow Wow will be appearing on a CSI spinoff 'CSI Cyber' on CBS during the midseason.

    Fast forward to now...

According to new reports, the 28-year-old rapper substituted the "talk" for his crew to do the talking for him. Bow Wow took to his Facebook letting people know that his inner Olivia Pope got it "handled."

The homies just dropped the dime on Tony Rock. I just got the call. I toldem press go. Dont f*** w/a mans family homie.

Now here's the confusion part. In the world we live in now, wouldn't this be incriminating of sorts if he really dropped a hit on someone? No law student or basic rights scholar here but if it's true, wouldn't Rock be well within his rights to press charges despite instigating the whole thing?

We get it, Bow Wow is one of those guys who becomes the b**t of jokes versus his talents but Tony, Tony, Tone? You know good and well you wouldn't like it if someone went in on your lady, her past or for that matter...your own past publicly. Never subject people to acts of disrespect or humiliation that you don't want done unto you no matter if the circumstances are true or not.

Rick Warren once said, "We are products of our past but we don't have to be prisoners of it."

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. Middle Tennessee became bowl eligible in riveting fashion as it came from behind to secure a 35-34 win against Florida Atlantic on Senior Day at Floyd Stadium Saturday night.

The Blue Raiders (6-5) rallied from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit to stun the visiting Owls. Down to its last play, quarterback Austin Grammer connected with Marcus Henry for a 12-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal with 19 seconds remaining to tie the score, 34-34. Kicker Cody Clark's most important extra point of the season was true to give Middle Tennessee its only lead of the game.

It was a remarkable comeback on a night when not much seemed to go Middle Tennessee's way until the end.

Senior Reggie Whatley left Floyd Stadium faithful with a memorable performance. Whatley was a one-man wrecking crew, rushing for a career-high 190 yards and three touchdowns on just 19 carries. He averaged 10 yards per carry and scored on runs of 30-, 75-, and 9-yards.

Not only did Whatley ground out 190 yards, but he also piled up a whopping 321 all-purpose yards with an additional 136 yards on kickoff returns.

Grammer was 20-of-27 for 160 yards and two touchdowns and showed great poise on the game-winning drive, which covered 70 yards on 13 plays in 2:49. Grammer was 3-for-5 for 27 yards on the finishing drive.

Marcus Henry led the receiving corps with six receptions for 92 yards and the game-winning touchdown. Ed Batties had eight receptions for 57 yards. The Middle Tennessee offense piled up 470 yards total offense, gaining 310 on the ground and 160 through the air.

The Blue Raider defense yielded 540 yards against the Owls (3-8) but the unit came up big when it mattered most. They stopped FAU on a third-and-4 play at the Owl 43 to give the offense one last drive for victory.

Chris Henry led the stop squad with 12 tackles, including eight solo. Xavier Walker and Steven Rhodes added seven tackles. Jared Singletary and Kevin Byard collected interceptions in the victory.

Middle Tennessee is seeking its fifth bowl appearance since 2006. All of its bowl games during the FBS era have come under Head Coach Rick Stockstill, who has had the Blue Raiders bowl eligible six times in nine seasons.

Middle Tennessee had to play from behind from the outset.

Florida Atlantic struck first and quickly when Luck Whitehead ran 80 yards for a touchdown on the Owls' first play from scrimmage as they took a 7-0 lead 18 seconds into the game. Florida Atlantic stretched the lead to 10-0 when Greg Joseph connected on a 25-yard field goal with 7:26 remaining in the first quarter.

The Blue Raiders finally got on the scoreboard when Grammer completed a 4-yard touchdown pass to Christian Collis. It was Collis' fourth career touchdown and first of the 2014 season. Clark's extra point pulled Middle Tennessee to within 10-7 with 4:38 remaining in the first quarter.

FAU answered before the quarter ended when Jaquez Johnson scored from the 1 to push the lead to 17-7 with 56 seconds remaining in the frame.

The Blue Raiders couldn't buy a break in the first half and trailed 17-7 when the Owls decided to provide them one.

Leading 17-7 late in the first half, FAU opted for a fake punt from its 22. The Blue Raiders came up big with a stop and took over possession.

Following a penalty, three plays later Whatley scored from 30 yards out to pull the Blue Raiders to within 17-14 with 2:31 remaining in the first half. The sequence of events in a two-minute span seemed to shift momentum in the Blue Raiders' favor heading into the half.Middle Tennessee would have to dig out of another double-figure deficit after Grammer was intercepted on the Blue Raiders' first drive of the third quarter. Four plays later, Jaquez Johnson completed a 23-yard touchdown to Kalib Woods to stretch the lead back to 10, 24-14, with 13 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Florida Atlantic established its largest lead of the game, 27-14, when Joseph converted a 19-yard field goal with 8:01 remaining in the third. Middle Tennessee's second turnover of the third quarter set up the field goal.

Whatley provided a spark that seemed to spring the Blue Raiders to life when he vaulted 75 yards to paydirt to pull the Blue Raiders to within 27-21 with 7:42 remaining in the third quarter.

That spark quickly diminished when Jaquez Johnson connected with Alex DeLeon for a 5-yard touchdown that proved to be the dagger. The score pushed the Owls' lead to 34-21 with 5:50 remaining in the game.

The Blue Raiders wouldn't go without a fight. Whatley's third touchdown a 9-yard run pulled Middle Tennessee to within 34-28 with 4:15 remaining to set the stage for the exciting finish.

MT will close the regular season at UTEP next Saturday.

Narco culture surrounded slain Miss Honduras

    SANTA BARBARA, Honduras --

Maria Jose Alvarado expected some difficult questions about her country at the Miss World pageant in London, so the 19-year-old beauty queen enlisted a teacher to help her prepare.

They reviewed the history of Honduras, including the military-backed coup in 2009 that sent the president into exile. They went through the daily newspapers to discuss politics and the gang and drug violence that makes this small Central American republic one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

The odds of winning the Miss World crown were long, Alvarado knew, but she practiced her English in the weeks ahead of the pageant, just in case she needed an acceptance speech, said Jose Eudaldo Diaz, the philosophy professor who was coaching her.

"She knew that the questions would be about the insecurity and violence because that is what the world knows about Honduras," Diaz said. "Her goal was to explain that she wanted to contribute to a Honduras in which children could walk the streets without fear of being murdered."

No one ever got to hear Alvarado's speech, and she didn't get to the pageant. She was shot to death along with a sister, their bodies discarded on a riverbank. They were laid to rest in a rain-soaked cemetery Thursday.

    ___

The senseless murder of Miss Honduras along with the older sister, Sofia, is both a family tragedy and a national outrage in a country that had seemed to be sleepwalking through a homicidal bloodbath. While many of the daily dead are gangsters, drug traffickers and police officers, many others are taxi drivers, journalists, abused women and other nameless innocents caught in the line of fire.

Alvarado would have fallen into the last group were it not for the fact she was unusually beautiful, and rose from humble roots in the hinterlands to represent Honduras on a world stage.

"If she had been any other girl, if she hadn't been Miss Honduras, this would have been one more crime amid the impunity of Honduras," said Jose Luis Mejia, director of the Technological University campus in Santa Barbara, where Alvarado studied. "They would have said what they always do: that this was the settling of accounts between drug traffickers, and they wouldn't even have bothered to investigate."

Most South American cocaine headed for the United States passes through Honduras, and Santa Barbara is on a main corridor from the brutal city of San Pedro Sula to the Guatemalan border. Officially, the killing of Miss Honduras and her 23-year-old sister isn't related to drug trafficking. Police say Sofia's suitor, Plutarco Ruiz, confessed to shooting the sisters in a jealous rage after she danced with another man at his birthday party. He killed Sofia first and then shot Maria Jose twice in the back as she tried to flee.

But to Alvarado's friends and family, the killings are the result of a traditional machismo made worse by the wealth and muscle of drug traffickers.

"This region is imbued with narco culture represented by the image of a man who moves in a big car, drinks, takes drugs, walks around armed and is bad," Mejia said. "The culture of violence and death."

    ___

Santa Barbara is a Spanish colonial town of one-story houses with wood posts holding up clay-tiled roofs. Its parents are, for the most part, conservative Roman Catholics who walk their daughters to and from high school in the belief that unaccompanied young women should not be on the streets. Smoking and drinking in public are scorned, if not prohibited, and beauty pageants in this region don't allow contestants in bikinis.

The town is surrounded by fog-shrouded mountains and coffee farms, its dirt streets muddied by days of heavy rain. A house once owned by 19th century Honduran President Luis Bogran serves as the private high school and university where Alvarado was enrolled and planned to study international relations. In a covered patio, her friends held a candlelight vigil with a slideshow of pictures from Alvarado's pageant and modeling career.

Nusly Casana, a classmate of Alvarado's since kindergarten, described what a tough town Santa Barbara is for women.

"They tell you: 'Don't' dress like that. Don't go out. What are you doing, where are you going? Who are you going with, what will people say?" Casana said.

"A man is free, a woman not; a man may choose and a woman not. And along with this is the violence that begins at home from childhood and continues throughout life. ... To call the murder of a woman by a man a crime of passion, to talk of jealousy, is to avoid the daily reality of violence against women," she said.

Casana recalled how she and Alvarado used to carry their Barbie dolls to school in their book bags. Alvarado loved beauty and fashion and talked of wanting to grow up to be like Barbie.

The youngest of three sisters, Alvarado began competing in pageants at age 13. She won Miss Northwest Honduras, Miss Teen Honduras and, finally, Miss Honduras, the stepping stone to the Miss World pageant.

After each competition, she would come back to Santa Barbara and share the details of her experiences with friends, who described her as generous and innocent to the point of naivete. She still wore braces on her lower teeth.

"Her successes were our successes," said Ludin Reyes, another schoolmate. "We were friends and fans."

While Alvarado pursued her dream, and her oldest sister married and moved away, Sofia was not so lucky, friends and officials said. She was a teacher until the school where she worked closed, and in love with a married man who left his wife to be with her, but was murdered in October 2013.

Then Sofia took up with Ruiz, who confessed to killing the sisters. Ruiz was known about town as a man to be feared from a family deeply involved in drug trafficking, officials say. Although he had no police record, he was seen as someone who could offer protection or eliminate enemies.

"This is a drug trafficking corridor," said Lt. Col Ramon Castillo, an army officer in charge of security in Santa Barbara. "David Ruiz, Plutarco's brother was 'the bull' and when he was killed in February, Plutarco took his place. ... Plutarco is a violent person with a bad character and he solves everything with a pistol in his hand."

Casana said everyone warned Sofia that Ruiz was dangerous, but she wouldn't listen.

"The worst machismo is the one in the head of women who think that a drug trafficker is a powerful man who gives her what she doesn't have, protects her and makes her look good in a society that values money and power," Casana said.

    ___

It's a mystery to Alvarado's friends why she went with her sister to the rundown "spa," or riverfront restaurant, that was believed to be a place that Ruiz used to conduct illegal business. But Alvarado looked up to her big sister and, after baking a cake together, apparently wanted to join Sofia to celebrate Ruiz's birthday.

Ruiz had six security guards at the Nov. 13 party, Castillo said. According to police, Sofia and Ruiz got into a heated argument over her dancing with another man. He shot the two women and with the help of a friend buried them by the river, spreading lime to make the bodies decompose more quickly.

The next day, Ruiz told Alvarado's family the women had left the party with someone else, and he invited them for lunch. Later, he even went with them to file a missing persons report with police. But eventually investigators wrested a confession from Ruiz and, nearly a week after they disappeared, he led police to their bodies. Ruiz and three alleged accomplices were arrested.

Mayor Juan Alvarado says most of the town's 29,000 residents know who's who and what they do. He says it is widely believed police waited days to interrogate Ruiz to give him a chance to escape. But in a country where impunity prevails, he didn't run.

"He felt so immune that he didn't flee because he trusted they would never detain him," said the mayor, who is not related to the beauty queen's family.

Now that Ruiz is behind bars, the army should round up the rest of the drug traffickers in the area, Alvarado said. "As mayor, I receive threats for any little thing and I have to provide my own security so someone doesn't come put a bullet in me."

At her modest home on an unpaved road, Alvarado's distraught mother is left to grapple with the loss of her beauty queen daughter and the sister who led her to her death.

"Poor Sofia," said the mother, Teresa Munoz. "I forgive her because she was responsible for what they did to her sister, for the fact that Maria Jose died, too."
